Thanks! Watching your video and another for an F6B, I was able to change my filter... saving me about 320.00 bucks (dealer cost). While I was added, I changed the coolant as well. I did and oil/filter change last week as well as the gear oil. Next month, I'm going to do the front and rear pads and replace the plugs. You motivated me to get off my arse! Stay save brother!

Thanks for the comment brother! Glad to be of assistance - coolant is next on the list for me.
@murraywheten65623 жыл бұрын
FYI... when you add the new coolant, leave the "plug" out on the second radiator. This helps with removing air from the system. Put the plug back in when the fluid shows full on the other radiator. You don't have to do this... It just makes the process a little quicker. Also, when adding coolant to the overflow container (last step) do it a few ounces at a time. It does not need as much as you may think, but it holds much more than is needed.

Thought I wanted a valk until now... after seeing this mess , I'll pass . It's an awesome machine, but I'm not up for challenges like this anymore. My Honda Magna was a PITA with the filter but not even close to the Valkerie. Thanks a million for the video. I watched the whole thing and you've definitely got patience.

So how many people thought about checking the air filter, looked up how to get to it and then decided to sell their Valkyrie rather than take all that stuff off? 🤣🤣🤣 Yeesh.
@MicJaguar2 жыл бұрын
I ordered a K&N hoping it will keep longer and better than OEM. I just got mine used and it has 6k miles but after removing some panels i discovered it is covered in dust as if never washed. So i suspect its had heavy dust from the West TX area and zero cleaning. Its unbelievable how they made this air filter being so dammed difficult to get to.

@@MicJaguar Congrats on the new bike! Honda definitely made it a pain to get to but with some patience it is very doable. I'm coming up on having to do it for the second time here lol
@MicJaguar2 жыл бұрын
@@dropagear6212 opt for the K&N filter. Might be worth it. Use them on every car I have ever had and can take a lot of dirt and bugs and keep on working.

Hi Valkyrie Boy here, after a couple of months of putting off due to weather and other pressing matters, pushed fuel pump connection completely in, one turn and away it went 🙂
@dropagear6212 Жыл бұрын
I didn't make the connection at first but I see you had a no start issue. Glad you found the issue - I can only imagine doing this and not having it start for months!

Hi Mike ! Can you do a video on front and rear tire replacement on valkyrie....you do a good job explaining.....also how to jack up and where under the bike are the jacking points
@dropagear6212 Жыл бұрын
This is the one thing I leave to the shops, tire changes. If I ever end up lifting the bike I'll make sure to document it. Thanks for the comment!

Hey Mike do you still have the bike? I’m hoping you do some more videos, especially addressing some of the common things with this bike I found on the F6C forum. Have you ever dealt with the front center cowls? I got them off without issue but can’t get it lined up right to reinstall them.

Hey crob, I do still own the bike but haven’t had time to film content. What issue are you having specifically? The pin holes not aligning or what?

Mike Pierce I have not had this issue - I live in Texas so I understand the heat concern. How many miles are on the bike? Is it cranking?
