Great job on a complicated task that costs big bucks when dealers do it. Learned a lot! You're a good teacher.😊

Thank you sir!! 🎉 just wrapped up swapping out my plugs on my 2014 QX60. One add, before I moved the manifold to right there was an electrical connection cable that was wrapped around a bracket directly behind the manifold. I didn’t have to disconnect it, I just had to “un-loop” it. Awesome video and thanks so much for the details!!!

I had a hard time finding any instructional video to help me. This excellent video was just what I was looking for. Your attention to detail is great and the video work was very good. I was able to easily replace the spark plugs in my 2016 Nissan Pathfinder because of your video. Thank you and I hope you make more videos like this.

You did such a good job explaining this it made me confident that I can do it. I thought about doing this 6 months ago because it's getting close to 100k and her car showed signs of needing it done. Back then I watched a different video on a pathfinder by a mechanic and it seemed difficult and messy. It made me ok with spending the money to get it done. Then the shop I take my wife's QX60 to quoted me $700 for this job luckily that made e look for another video. After seeing your video I thought "No way am I paying $700 for this job." I did order a new gasket just incase and I have to grab a 14mm SP socket or I'll do what you did. Tha ks again.

Great video. I like how you were able to leave the throttle body attached rather than messing with it. The only changes I did to your process was I left the lower air cleaner box in. Just took the air filter out to use the cavity. I also changed the PCV valve just because its easier to get to with the manifold off. I would say if you have the money, change the manifold gasket. I probably should have. Mine wasn't town, just old looking after 110K miles. If I change the plugs again at 160K I will replace it.

Thanks for the great video. Also, Nissan says that's it's critical to torque the manifold bolts to spec and in the proper sequence. Otherwise you might crack the plastic.

Great job Raymond. Your video is one of the best for this particular Nissan 3.5L setup. Out of everything that is required, the vacuum houses in the back of the valve cover give me the most heartburn. Thinking about buying the long reach hose grip pliers that Harbor Freight sells.

Great video! So I was able to change out my coils and sparkplugs on my 2014 Qx60. When you removed the intake manifold, there were the 2 hoses you disconnected. There was also that electrical connector plug that was clipped onto the manifold near where the 2 hoses were at. The electric connector plug on mine had nothing connected to it. Is there some plug that connects to it? Possibly mine was disconnected? Im not sure. But I have a P1148 and P0031 error code now. Could this be that something was supposed to be connected to that plug that was screwed into the manifold? Thanks for any help.
@rfundora092 жыл бұрын
Hi, how are you? I'm sorry to hear you are having error codes now, it can be frustrating. Question, I am assuming these codes are new after the work you did, correct? If so, I do believe it has to be one of the lines or plugs in the process. I would recommend you reverse engineer again and check all connections and hoses. I hope this helps.
@tdoro8872 жыл бұрын
@@rfundora09 hey thanks. I was able to figure it out and it was the one sensor cable that was not connected when I first removed the manifold. All good now. No check engine lights!

Great video Raymond - Good Job on walking through step by step - BTW you were already there you could have got the intake valve chambers cleaned with carb fluid. and also some on the rubber bose that sucks air for intake... any more videos in plans on other parts maintenance?

Great video... I was able to follow all the way up to that last hose that faces the right in back of the manifold. I can't seem to grasp that clamp and there seems to be something else holding the manifold on the right side. it is lifting up but not enough to move it enough to get to the coils. What am I missing..
@rfundora094 жыл бұрын
Hello, circle back and re-trace your steps. Once you loosen the two hoses on the left side back, you should be able to raise it and swivel right. Keep in mind you are not able to completely remove it as it still connected on the right side.

Great video! Do you need to replace the coil packs when doing spark plugs?
@rfundora094 жыл бұрын
Hello. Only if they are bad, which typically is a result of a misfire. A regular tune-up is just spark plugs, but if you want to spend the extra money you can do it while in there.
