Regardless they had the Ferrari's whopped in 64. Until Ferrari got his way with FIA mid season and was allowed to run the mid engine 250LM cars. They didnt even meet class rules. Out right cheating is what saved Ferrari's ass in 64.

+kram namwen True, and many race cars didn't have a mileage counter or a speedometer. This car was never a road car.

Thanks! Took me back to my youth, racing in A Production in the 60s and 70s, first in a 427 Cobra, later an L-88 Corvette. Loved watching it get a little loose in some of the tighter turns, right on the edge. That us what the cars were built for! Too bad you can't feel the g forces in the curves and on acceleration.

it was crashed heavily in period at the Nurburgring and was rebuilt by Shelby in period. it was fully restored by Canepa, who generally does a good job

the only time u match revs (blip) on a downchange is when you feather the throttle on a left bend just before the bridge because you're not on the brakes. Every other corner when you're braking, you never toe heel or blip. Brian Malik you’re right, I am not sure why Dad wasn’t matching revs as he normally does. Could be that the pedal spacing doesn’t allow for smooth matching or another explanation but it did seem to unsettle the car at times. I’ll have to ask him and see what he says
