Nice up grade. Only problem for me would be that the red lighting in the denali cluster wouldn't match the blue lightning on my head unit. Is their a way to change the color?

So after speaking with Pgamboa and reading about it, it looks like you need a late ‘16 blue cluster and also need to complete the car play upgrade/ HMI/radio to accomplish this. Jose D Hernandez I just did a quick search for the cluster and I only could find the ones for base model trucks. Let me do a little digging and get back to you. My wife drives a ‘16 Denali Diesel so here would be the one. I’m driving 1,100 miles tomorrow so it will be a few days but I’ll try to get you a part number. Thanks for watching.

An I know for the 17 Denali the lighting will be the same, does it have to be the same year truck for it to work?? Or can it be a year newer to get the different color lighting. Jessica Saephan that’s right, the cluster is just a display which shows your mileage. If you just buy a used cluster it won’t just plug in and work. The cluster will throw up “Flags” not allowing you to program it to your ride without a big hassle. -edit- sorry I was in a hurry, yes, your actual miles will still show up. So 40k

No, miles stay with the car. Here’s an example, I put a brand new cluster in my 2015 and it showed the 190,000 miles my truck had. If you buy one from a wrecked truck with 250,000 miles and install it in your truck with 40,000 miles, the new cluster would reflect the 40,000 your truck has, not the 250,000 that the donor truck had. Programming is still required though.

The email would have been to WAMS. I just shot a video and plugged them because of this mod, my front parking sensors, and two BCM reprogramming mods they’ve done for me. I know they’re usually really busy working. (They being Chris). It’s only one guy and if he responds to every email nothing will ever get done. There is a lot of information on the Gm-Trucks.com forum about the ins and outs, DOs and don’ts. Usually if it’s a well drilled down on previous issue/question there will be no response. With that said what are you looking to do and what can I try to help you with?

No, I’m pretty sure he’s the only game in town. It’s just him so it takes quite a while to process all orders. From time to time he has to just stop taking orders as not to create too large of a backlog. I checked the site this morning and saw that he is scheduled to re-open on the fourth, which is this coming Monday, four days from now.

And to get that cluster programmed I send a message to the last website asking them to program the new cluster providing them with the numbers. So since you have a 2014 GMC you need a 2014 cluster with red backlighting. The block of numbers for a 2014 with Denali red backlighting are all the same part, the numbers update from time to time. Here is a link to the last part number in that block of numbers (84254163). www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/chevrolet-cluster-asm-inst~84254163.html Once you have received it in the mail you need to add cluster programming to your cart (at WAMS)and pay for it. Once completed, mail your brand new, uninstalled cluster to WAMS (White Auto and Media Services) Using FedEx or UPS (NOT USPS). It will take some time to get it back but you’ll have a cluster ready to install. When ordering make sure to add notes about your vehicle (TPMS or no TPMS) (trailer brake or not) I hope this helps. Sorry I’m not fast to respond these days, just really busy at work.

This is not a base model truck . Base model trucks do not have steering wheel controls . Base model clusters have a push pin to toggle through the cluster screens .

I haven’t had the best luck with fast shipping and they don’t charge your card until it ships. They order the part from GM but don’t drop ship it. They order it in to NC and then ship it out usually UPS. I ordered a new headlight switch on the 15th and it shipped yesterday. (The 24th) didn’t get charged until yesterday. Some other websites ship faster but it cost more.
