I recently saw my first HP4 which rolled in with the similar bikes you were with. It was two brothers I believe, one of a HP4, one on a 1199 Panigale R and the father on a dual sport if I remember correctly. I was drooling when I saw the two together, it was like they were born to be next to each other. Each one compliments the other in brilliant ways

Totally agree re: cruise control. Anything that helps you conserve your mental energy while enroute to the fun roads :-) has got to be a good thing. I had an '08 K1200GT for a while, put 81000km on it through Tasmania, Victoria, NSW, ACT and Queensland... Would never have ridden it that much without cruise. Now I just have a very, very silly, impractical bike (KTM 990 SMR) and as a result I don't ride much anymore. Planning to fix that. Enjoyed your video, thanks!

The Great Ocean Road is very scenic. But it's shit for riding. Low speed limit, lots of cops, and lots of tourist traffic.
@Zeggawong9 жыл бұрын
***** Really? Just need to go at the right time I guess. I took an R1 back from Melbourne to Adelaide along there and didn't see a single speed camera or cop. Was fucking glorious. Especially the roads above Apollo Bay... Best days riding of my life.
@TheScooterHoon9 жыл бұрын
Jenkins Bradbury Yeah, I suppose it's all right. But I never get it at the right time. It's just like the Black Spur. Great roads that you can't have fun on due to heavy enforcement, low speed limits and lots of traffic. And those "Drive on left in Australia" signs on the Great Ocean Road don't inspire much confidence in the oncoming traffic. Then again, I am rather spoiled with the selection of roads I have locally.

Decided to Ride That's a good one. Then there's the Eildon - Jameson road. Murray River road, Granya Gap, Alpine Way, Snowy Mountains Highway, Elliot way, That road that goes through Cabrumurra, Tawonga Gap, Happy Valley, Bogong high plains, Omeo highway, Redbank road, and lockharts gap. Just to name a few I do on a regular basis. Then there's the legendary Bonang Highway. 105 ks of non stop twisties.

Thats my local haunt on the Tiller, if you go that way again get in contact I'm in Point Cook and I'll rally some mates up. Also take the route from Sketons creek through Forest. Little to no traffic and super fast sweeping roads. Also great review and be careful going over the solid white lines can cause sudden death with tourists doing it all the time watching the ocean I'm assuming or can't drive around corners. Unmarked police planes check your speed from point to point from Anglsea.

I finally had a small test of this bike from the dealer; 2015 BMW S1000RR. It's AMAAAAZING. This is currently my favorite literbike (sportbike). I'm doing an extended test this weekend! Love the white with blue! Fantastic review Tom! That selfie-stick looks like a pain in the bum to operate but it brings us some great angles. They need some kind of swiveling backpack thing that goes around you...maybe controllable with a remote or something. ;) Great views with the sunset and all. I liked your attempt at an Italian accent hahaha. I love your gloves too...impossible to find those with the white knuckles like that here. Lemme know if ya find some in XS and I'll pay ya for 'em.
