Had to replace the entire wiper cowl after going through two cracked windshields in 3 years, long story. About to do exactly as you did and I'll update this comment to let you know if I'm successful or not. Update: It was the exact problem you had. Had to clean out the weird slim that was in there. Dude thank you so much. You need a six pack I got you. Thanks again!

Would love a six-pack. All beer is good. :-D Except some bad ones, but only the bad ones.

This guy deserves a hug! Exactly the symptoms and fix for my 2016 XLT 2.7L. I ended up taking of the front right wheel to get easier access to the pump. Thank you!!

Thanks for this video. My pump sounds like it's working but nothing is coming out. I took a quick look and thought I was going to have to pull the tire to get access.

Wonder what causes that slimey sludge... I just did mine today. Ford wanted $250 to replace the pump.

Absolutely insane - the pump is $26.

Just did this on mine today and caught the fluid in a bucket. It sure looks like a sheet of one ply tp. Not blaming any techs looking for repeat business, but I’d sure love to know what slime forms in nice sheets like that.

@Aurelius2323 so glad it helped! Love that this saves $$ for people, maybe even time as it prob is less of a headache to just do it vs taking a half or whole day to a repair, etc. 100% saves $$. 🤠👍
