2015 mazda3 here, white with black wheels. I've had the car for almost 4 years now, 141k miles. I can say without a smidgen of doubt that anybody looking to get a stylish, not-2020-era-new vehicle should absolutely invest in this. For the duration of my ownership I've only had to replace tires, brakes, battery, oil, and I get regularly scheduled engine maintenance. And all of that is including the occurrence of a car accident that happened 2 weeks after I got the car, used. I ran up a curb at a three way going about 65 mph. There was $8000 of internal damage but nothing debilitating or irreparable. These cars are built like tanks... I always say...float like a Cadillac, sting like a bimmer, tough like an Abrams, designed for a dreamer.

do you still have this car and how is it with maintenance cost? I'm thinking about buying this same exact model
@ZoraPMC4 жыл бұрын
I have a 2015 Mazda3 S Grand Touring so basically same model but without the mods at over 127,000 miles. The maintenance costs is phenomenally low. Only repair was alternator replacement. Everything else was oil changes, tire rotations, 1 tune up, new tires, new battery, and that's about it. The ONLY grey/questionable area is transmission because it is sealed and requires no fluid replacement...but we all know that there is NO such thing as a transmission that lasts forever. So I have set aside like $5k for a replacement transmission whenever it fails. But again...at 127,000 miles...it still shifts like brand new and no jerks or anything wrong. Now...there are folks who do still manage to flush their trans fluid in this model at every 60k miles or so. Of course I found that out recently, aka a tad late, so I'm going to keep riding with the factory fluid since it's very likely my trans is used to the thicker more frictioned fluid and flushing it now might actually do more harm than good. Hope this information helps! If you do everything yourself, expect a VERY LOW COST maintenance experience. If you take it to the shop, then the maintenance expense is still fairly low but labor basically doubles the cost if I were to guess.

I am a serious researcher about getting my money's worth in a used car. That is why I bought the Mazda 3! Before I did this I checked Consumer Reports, Safety ratings, Reliability Ratings, low annual maintenance costs ratings etc etc. The Mazda 3 was one of a short list of cars (along with the Honda and Toyota cars including the Prius) that I came up with based on my research. Make sure when you are car shopping that any car you want is a 'clean title' vehicle. Avoid cars on social media or newspapers where you find out that are 'refurbished or 'reconditioned' as this typically means they are 'salvage' vehicles that have been in a 'totalling' of the vehicle level accident with what is major damage and you will get zero funds if you are in a collision with a salvage car from your insurance company or on the other driver's insurance. Also, being a salvage vehicle means the structural integrity of the car may be compromised. It's not worth it to get a 'salvage' car. Also, car dealerships are the safest places to get a used vehicle as they do a thorough inspection and safety related repairs on used vehicles. d I got my car from a Toyota dealership. They automatically gave me a free 1 year service warranty with the car and a 3 months drive train warranty. Bottom line is that dealers don't want to sell you junk vehicles. Any car they can't fix that is not in good enough condition for the dealership to sell they will sell to a non-dealer lot, so beware of the non-dealer lots! Cars there may "look good" but may not be. For sure get an ASE certified mechanical inspection and if they refuse this and this hasn't been done, walk away. Also, check for flood damage or salvage history cars on free gov websites and be sure to get a detailed car history printout before you buy! (There are a number of companies that do this)

@@MelissaDuffySacredBreath Honestly I think you'll be just fine with it. I'm right around 90k miles now and all I've done over the last 20k miles or so is tires, brakes, oil changes. Take it to the dealer and get an estimate for repair. Check with salvage yards about getting a replacement door or pay for body shop to repair it (pricey though!) If you weren't the original owner this problem could be from a previous owner who had an accident where the door was damaged.
