Omg!! You literally just helped me and I saved money. The guy who was supposed to be towing my car locked it AFTER I told him my car was dead. Technically yes. Most people don't have their spare key fob with them at all time so this is one way to by pass that.

Do you have a spare fob key? It should have another physical key inside the fob or you can use the extra fob key to open the door.

Since this is an emergency method to unlock your vehicle, i would advise to replace the battery in your keyfob. Therefore,, you can then lock and unlock by using the keyfob

@@AravindSenguttuvan I only experienced this once, and actually take few attempts for it to work. Try to walk away from the vehicle 6 feets away or more and then try again. (Make sure dont close the door lol). Also check the car battery and make sure its not bad.

I assumed the physical key won’t turn after you inserted in the keyhole. Based on my experience, this can cause by many reasons. Try use wd-40 and see if the physical key can align properly in the keyhole. If the key fits correctly and turns but still not unlock, the tumbler assembly might be the problem. Last resource brings the car to the dealership and have them take a look at the issue. You can try manually unlock the hood. See if you can get under the car, you may able to reach the hood latch and unlock the hood that way and check your car battery. Best of luck
