This is a video of my 2015 Chevy Silverado RCSB 5.3L with a Carven RPT muffler and Kooks 1-3/4 long tube headers driving with the camera mounted on the rear bumper.

How do you like it? I’m debating upon this one or a black widow. I don’t have headers though. Is the the carven RPT or the borla?

What kind of sound or volume are you looking for and which Borla?

I want a deep sound. I want it to be somewhat moderate while just cruising, but when I smash on the pedal it screams. In the description it said that the muffler was a borla atak.

@@bradypruitt8712 sorry about that. Should be fixed now. The Carven RPT will sound good but the ATAK will be deeper I think and both will scream at full throttle.

Is the borla atak really worth the $250 though?

@@bradypruitt8712 I think it is. I have had multiple mufflers and a few different Borlas. I feel the Borla is a little over priced for what you get when comparing to other brands prices, quality and sound. The ATAK on the other hand is totally and is my favorite muffler so far and is worth it in quality, materials and wicked sound. If I buy Borla again it will be an ATAK or another multi-core muffler of theirs. If you don't plan on headers, you may not notice the sound difference as much and therefore may not be as good of a buy.

Matt Earle Oh well, I just wanted to to ask cuz I wanted to create a new setup for my truck that goes around 95 dbs, I’ve had my fair share of cops pulling me over here in my country. I’ve seen your other videos, absolutely love the redness of your truck!

I know this has nothing to do with the vid but I just had the check engine light come on i went to auto zone and they checked it the code that came up was p2098. Anyone know what I can do so I won't pay so much out of pocket?

@@mloml41 the first thing to check would be intake air and exhaust leaks. Verify all vacuum lines or intake to throttle body clamps are all tight preventing unmetered air from entering the engine. Then check for exhaust leaks by listening for the ticking sound or seeing if there is any black soot residue at any flange surface before the O2 sensors. That code is referencing a lean condition found by the O2 sensor on the passenger side (bank 2) from either an air or exhaust leak, bad MAF, MAP or O2 sensor or faulty wiring. You can swap the O2 sensor to the drivers side and see if the code clears and reappears the same or with a different code that points to bank 1. That means the O2 sensor is probably bad.

@@mattofearle thanks for the fast response. Last night I took a look at the air filter to check if it was loose also checked the sensor in there and it looked clean the filter itself look decent. I put it back on and cleared the check engine light. I drove my daughter to school this morning and nothing came on yet but it was a short drive about 4 miles. About 3 weeks ago I went from running 91 to 87. Since I bought the truck it had 9000 miles I've always ran 91 just gas prices reaching almost 4 bucks so I went to 87 and now this.. do you think that could of triggered it?
