That was the goal and it did get rid of a lot of the clap. I could actually control it myself vs. before when it clapped under any load. All said and done, I was probably off 1.5" in making it true equal length and that may eliminate it completely. Doesn't sound like a truck near as much now and a lot smoother.

​@mattofearle beyond helpful. The Pro Venom's are "town friendly" just like the Borla 40085s, but when you get on that pedal you get tone...! The 40085s work just a little too well; unless you have a good size cam and headers, otherwise they are what I call "Stock+".... Thank you again your videos made the difference...!

The Corsa Sport truck muffler designed for these trucks will be quieter and less raspy than the universal Corsa Pro muffler.

This truck currently has stock stall and is driven daily. I recommend a stall though as this is a little big for stock. There is some surge and pushing through the brakes at times no matter what you do so it really needs a stall but can be used stock if needed.

I don't think it will be but "loud" varies a lot per person.

@trashbandit2449 I'm not sure. Depends on if I keep the white regular cab as I'lladd headers if i do. The blue one is turbo and I'll probably do some videos once it's together but they won't sound great with the turbos.

@CarGuruGalore tough to answer. If you want loud, deep and aggressive all the time, go ATAK. If you want loud cold starts, quiet warm idle and cruise but loud WOT, go Corsa.

I like it. No seat of the pants difference in power.

The video doesn't do it justice. It gave it a higher pitch, got rid of almost all of the clap and drone as well as cleaned it up a bit.

@codysparks4040 I had plans for headers and equal length exhaust plus manual transmission swap but things come up and I'm selling this one soon. Gotta focus on some other projects instead.

It is definitely more open and raw but un-clean without cats. The ATAK and Corsa are both loud and have the clap but Corsa is louder but higher pitched and a tad more refined. I just uploaded videos of the ATAK with an equal length y-pipe I made to reduce the clap and clean the sound up a little. The truck now has the shortest Corsa Pro resonator on it, and it's probably as good as it will ever sound without long tube headers.

​@@mattofearleIs the ATAK still your favorite? Good on Corsa for releasing these universal mufflers. I ended up buying the ATAK for it's deeper tone awhile back, saving it for another truck.

@ej1025 it just depends on the vehicle but it is at the top for sure. Corsa also just released a large universal muffler that looks to be the same one in their full kits for these trucks.

If you build an equal length dual system with an x-pipe it shouldn't clap and will sound great. If it's too loud or you want to clean it up a little then a resonator will help for sure.

@mattl1576 I have the shortest Corsa Pro resonator on another truck with the ATAK at the moment and there is still just a little bit of clap. Need one between their shortest and longest and it will be perfect.

I didn't find it bad at all but I like to hear my exhaust inside the cab.

Race was louder from idle to WOT by a decent amount. The oval was almost like opening a cutout when going WOT. It was pretty quiet IMO at idle up to 3/4 throttle but was just as loud as the race when full throttle.

I'm not a fan of the venom series but the round ones sound mean. It all depends on what sound you are looking for and how loud.

@@mattofearle yeah I have x pipe true duals rn but I'm saying I'm putting headers on and going catless and might need a muffler. And I only wanna run one muffler that's dual in and out. And that's why I said race venom because I don't want a junk muffler and the best mufflers usually don't come in dual in/out Magnaflow makes one but idk if I wanna run that. That's why I'm asking what kind is good

@Hunter Kembel I misread your first sentence and edited my response. Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Thrush, Jegs Gibson MWA and Dynomax all have dual iin and out with Dynomax having a built in x-pipe inside the muffler. I don't like the airy, fluttery sound of the larger chambered black widows personally but many love them and they have their place on certain vehicles. They arent junk but a little pricey for what you get compared to others. I like them on older cammed muscle cars specifically. I didn't like the resonance inside the cab either. What type of sound are you looking for? Loud and crisp, deep and forceful or mellow and stock like at idle?

@@mattofearle wanting it to sound as much like a car as possible. I have some videos on my page of what it sounds like idle startup and wide open throttle I just want it to have that real loud sound but don't want it to clap or sound like a glass pack if you get my drift. I know going catless will Definitely contribute to changing the sound but I feel like the headers will clean that up. I'm keeping my exhaust setup just might need to add a muffler if it sounds too much like a straight pipe with headers. I have the x pipe but don't know if it will be enough once headers go on.

@@mattofearle would you rather go with the magnaflow 2.5 dual in dual out straight through muffler. Or the dynomax. Something that's not very big but dosent drone as much as a super 10. I've had that muffler before single in dual out
