Team Oil Drop has a much better tutorial for installing this kit. It is much easier to drop the lower control arm and install that way. Also, why no mention of the adjustable clips to choose lift height? It’s one of the best features of this kit…

I know right? I felt like this guy did way too many extra steps or something, he lost me at Bilstein.
@kevinwatters86314 жыл бұрын
It is much easier to drop the lower arm and the shock assembly drops right out the bottom unless you are replacing the upper arm, then you have to do this method.

Is it necessary a differential drop for this bilstein 5100?
@fanmanabc4 жыл бұрын
Not OP, but it would depend vehicle to vehicle. On my 3rd gen tacoma, it's actually not recommended to do a diff drop until you get into the 2.5"+ lift region before doing a diff drop because the diff drop actually rotates the axle making it stick out more and more prone to damage.
@12st4life3 жыл бұрын

Always good to do an alignment after any suspension work as it will change the suspension telemetry which will affect alignment.

for two inches front and one rear I don't need the front differential drop kit Sway bar drop brackets 2019 Toyota Tacoma???
@rileybone23573 жыл бұрын
No, its not recommended to do so till you get above a 2.5” lift. anything under that dropping the diff will just make it easier to be damaged while off-roading.

I’m sorry if I missed it but what was your lift setting on the front shock? Did you make any changes to the back to lift/ level? Also, wondering what your rim size/ backspace is along with what tire size and if you had to mod for rubbing. I thank you in advance!
@NoahStage34 жыл бұрын
We set ours to the #4 clip on the front shocks which puts it at about 1.55" of lift. The rear is still stock height with the new shocks. For wheels and tires we added 17x9" (0mm offset) Black Rhino Wheels with 285/70R17 Toyo R/Ts. I did have to trim a little plastic on the inner fender and remove the air dam to prevent rubbing, but it has zero issues now. Hope that helps!
