Check Coolant expansion tank, coolant cap, radiator, any oil leaks, and the Hybrid Battery health, or whether the hybrid battery is still under warranty.

Just buy it. With full bmw history, you know what you're getting.
@ambientauras8 ай бұрын
1. Make sure both small (non hybrid batteries) work perfectly, 2. Make sure you get proof that the car can charge 3. Make sure you monitor the hybrid battery drain rate on a drive, if it depletes really quickly then don’t bother 4. Make sure the AC can run cold as the AC is used to cool the battery and if you have no AC then you will probably end up with battery problems 5. Make sure the car is being sold with both working charging cables, 3pin to type 2 and type 2 to type 2 as they are a few hundred bucks to replace Of course look out for all the other usual things when buying use and high mileage but those 5 I would say are key

What a timing 😅 I want to buy a Bmw 330e 2018 I live pretty close to my work so they main idea is to save fuel, use it only on electric power during the week... The one option that I have has 30.000 kilometers, so it's pretty "new" but I live in Costa Rica and there are no other 330e in the market, so I have none to ask about the car, only KZbin Videos... And I was pretty worry about the battery!

Does it still have Battery Warranty from BMW?
@dylanruiz738411 ай бұрын
@@AJDrives Honestly I don't think so, in Costa Rica when you by a use car the warranty covers only the original owner. I haven't speak directly to BMW to check if they are the exception. However I check the car information and seems like all the maintainance has been done directly in BMW and the last one was a month ago, and everything checked fine, they only did oil and filter change.
@AJDrives11 ай бұрын
The BMW maintenance Part is great! Can BMW check the battery health for you too?
@dariusdareme9 ай бұрын
The battery comes in a few modules, like 4 or 6. I expect the cost to be $800 USD for a battery module, plus the service cost. I expect no more than $1400 for 1 module. Usually just one fails when the car is way older. The degradation adds up in all the modules, but those will last 20 years. The problem is when one fails, then the car will disable the electric drive. - I've seen this module replacement happen on lots of older Priuses

Hey, I have a quick question. I own a 2017 BMW 330e with 79.9K miles. My dealership has always told me that the transmission doesn’t require servicing because it’s a sealed unit. However, after watching some videos, I’ve learned that the transmission can actually benefit from service and that it’s recommended every 30-60K miles. Despite this, my dealership refuses to perform the service, now claiming that at nearly 80K miles, it’s too late. They’re saying that changing the fluid at this point could cause the gears to slip. Has anyone else encountered this or have any advice?
@mepyhunter37473 ай бұрын
Nonsense, just go ahead to change the transmission oil, also change the rear differential oil which dealers also don't do

2021 330e still uses the same B48 Engine, So I'm guessing it'd be the same. Cheaper tires would be a personal choice but I'd never recommend them as they're a safety thing.

I bought a 2016 330e I would say avoid this like the plague. It’s really common for the KLE to go which will stop your car from charging via HV cable. The real world MPG is trash. I would say just stick with the non hybrid options as you will get waaay better fuel consumption. The 330e has a 400lbs battery in the back so it feels like a whale in the corners, and in braking. Honestly just avoid and save yourself the headache
