Yes, the new 2025 spec have 19.5 KWh batteries, the cold does affect the range but currently driving in my hilly commute the guess-o-meter is showing 45 miles. Adaptive suspension is a must and I specced normal tyres rather than runflats. My new car G21 Lci2 is frankly everything I could want.

I have the 2023 G21 model. My max range I have reached is 40km with battery. Also I love this car it has so many characters for every occasion.

Hmmm, 40km range seems low for the facelift. Do you live in a hilly area?

These only make sense if one has the ability to charge at home and if one does very many short journeys. They have all the normal excellent 3 Series traits along with being very good-looking cars. However, I found it to be very compromised with regards to the engine. I had range anxiety and found that if one pressed on, the mpg were nothing to write home about. I think it would probably have been over your budget, but the M340d is head and shoulders above this as an everyday car. Sound, ride and performance are far superior and I got over 50mg on a run to Scotland. The 700nm of torque are quite addictive.

Agreed, its a great car... for the right person. If you do high miles and long journeys then a diesel it is.

Hello mate What was your MPG when you've a trip to Scotland as you mentioned? Did you had a full battery charged aswell?

Just checked for you. Handy that the iDrive app saves all your trips! I had a full battery for the trip up there and I averaged 75MPG. Empty battery on the way back and it was 48MPG. So not bad at all...

I owned a 2019 G20 for 3 years and averaged over 120mpg, I also had a dual tariff so the full battery cost 70 pence to charge, i too like yourself was in the goldilocks zone on my commute, so during the week I never used petrol, I filled up every 6-8 weeks. I recently changed the car for a brand new G21 so double the EV range, frankly the g20 was the best car I have ever owned, comfortable, quiet, lovely car.

Totally agree! They're the perfect car for the right person. Interesting that the facelift range is double. Does the cold still have much of an impact or have they improved that as well?
