I drove BMW M5 and Audi RS5 and then I went to see this Lexus GSF, at first I thought no way this is going to compete with those two but honestly when I test drove this beast I fell in love with it. The car looks amazing in this color. People you have to see this car before passing your judgement. The front end looks much much better then Audi.

+john “ForceFeed 999” smith There's nothing wrong with the car per say. There is everything wrong wtih that rediculous price. It's more expensive than the all new CTS-V and it competes with the m5 E63, etc.. head on and destroys them. If it was 10 grand cheaper, it would make more sense.

Yes, these changes are enough, and heres my reasoning why: this car is supposed to compete with the likes of the E63, CTS-V, M5, etc. This car, as we know does not perform as well (on paper), but it performs very well with around a 4.4 second 0-60. I have a 2016 Cadillac CTS Vsport and 4.4 is more than enough for a mid-sized luxury family sedan. If people wanted a track car they can easily get a more capable one for cheaper. I think the styling is very modern and cutting edge, I feel like it will age very will with integrated DRLs flush with the body and the sharp, angular styling cues that seem very similar to concept cars we see now. I think the interior is very high quality and it is very practical (lots of buttons and knobs) but still has the cool and nice little track-pad thing to remind you you're in more than a regular car. The V8 sounds fantastic and like I said before, performs well enough. I think looking into this car with the perspective of "80k for 467 HP and 4.4 0-60? I can get so much better performance than that out of a CTS-V!" is the wrong perspective. In my opinion, this car checks every category for what it is: a mid-sized luxury family sports-sedan.

This car is Amazing. Jeremy Clarkson who we all know drove this car for a week and said in his review of it he like it's more then the M3 and M5. He loves it as much as the LFA. That's coming from a guy who isn't a fan of Lexus. That's how good this GSF is. Lexus is at the TOP of their game. Their the best Japanese performance luxury brand.

dasspr Actually he went on record saying the Lexus LFA super car is his favorite car and the best car he has ever driven. Now he loves the GSF. Lexus is getting better. I love the direction they are heading.

I'm from Toronto, I have a 2012 IS-F, and I really think the most important number there was the +4000lbs; I think it will be more easier to driver, but trying to manage that weight will be the crux in it's track performance. I love Lexus, and I love what they are doing with the F series, but I think they need to start looking into lowering the weight of their cars and really putting something that can take corners and keep up with the rest of the competition.

I know that the M5 and other cars in this segment completely destroy the GSF but I personally think the design, a naturally aspirated V8, and the reliability of Lexus just can't be beat by others in this segment. M5 gives it a run for its money but the Lexus really does turn heads.

the horsepower in this thing would blow my SC coupe away. engine sounds good it also has more kick than my panamera its just lacking the bells and whistle but I'd consider this a sports car. my neighbor looked at this car and he said he couldn't justify the $90k price tag.

Disappointed with Lexus. I'm a Lexus guy and was really hoping they'd bring a competitive entry. This car is low on horsepower and torque. An upgraded suspension to compete with other entries would be nice too. Personally, I think this engine should be in the F-Sport and a turbocharged version should be in the GS F. Given the price I think Cadillac, BMW and Mercedes offer better cars. Lexus you're killing me... Current Car - 2013 Lexus GS350 (for now)

chrisLSmooth, Nissan Altima daily driver, my z is gone and my wife and I have a newborn. anyways, I am interested in the level of performance it will produce. some of the competition weight is in thw 4s as well but with more low end power. I'm saying no, drop 200 lbs, add 200 ft lbs tq and drop the tq curve. now that note coming from the back tho!!! I love it!!! p.s. I thunk it makes for a good daily driver for someone who not concerned with big performance but would like a sporty drive with great tech and oh course " the note"

Here in SoCal this car wouldn't turn heads. Also think its overweight and shouldn't be badged as an F but call it a GS500 (just as previous generation, and much lighter car, had both the GS350 and GS460). Would be interested to see performance numbers between this car and previous generation GS460 (or even GS350). Handling may have been improved but I question whether straight line or braking performance differs much. This car is too heavy.

I guess it depends on which section of the segment you want to compare it to. The higher ups like the 550i M-Sport, E500 AMG Sport, S6 & CTS Vsport? Yea Sure, there are plenty of upgrades & enough juice to go to head-to-head with them & justify it, but the Top Dawgs? Sorry, but this is a case of The Rock's KnowYourRole ….. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiffffffffffff yyyoooooouuuuu ssssssmmmmmeeeeellllllll …. (Raises the eyebrow) As for the Blue, its cool, but the grey mirror caps & the copper finish are too much … especially the mirrors, it looks like a cheap paint that got exposed to the elements for 20 years. Pigfat. Look how massive the rear haunch looks next to that tiny wheel. But the wheel isn't even small. Needs more power and torque down low. I can thank the designers for bringing the edge of the hood all the way to the front so there's not an ugly line across the front of the car.

I drive a 2016 911 GTS and have owned 2 F10 M5's. Yes, NA is very appealing but power differential is too great. I consider this more in line with Audi S models. Above Bmw and Mercedes regular lines but below M and AMG.

Answer your question: from a paper tech perspective, this car does not seem competitive. Engine numbers sounds disappointing. I am in the US.

I respect lexus for putting a N/A engine in this car but its still wayyy too down on power compared to the M5, E63, RS7, or even the CTS-V. The M5 is pushing 575hp/500 tq, the E63 is pushing 577hp/590tq, the RS7 is pushing 605hp/553tq, and CTS-V is pushing 650/650tq. So yes lexus thank you for putting a atmospheric engine in the GS F but its doesn't have the grunt to keep up with the competition.
