Removing the center resonator without replacing it with a x pipe ruined the sound. Sound like an old Chevy pickup truck when it drove away with all that clapping.

I put an xpipe on my 2016 E550 same engine as this cls and it wasn’t loud enough so i took it off and the upshifts sound better and louder

The V8s in the 550 Mercedes models is very close to the AMG engine the same way BMW has the M5 and the M550 . Similar engine but detuned,

It's really deep with straight pipes, but a turbocharged V8 dosen't sound as good as a supercharged V8 from SRT or dodge.
