I honestly love Ragan's floor routine. It is so well thought out. Along with Laurie's. They are so playful, but powerful. Of course, their routines weren't perfect, but their effort shows. So much stage presense too. They will definitely go far their gymnastics career. By far two wonderful gymnasts.

Team USA could not be anymore exciting than it is this year !!! So many incredible and powerful gymnasts with levels of difficulty that are very hard to match . Also we have so much dynamics with each athlete bringing something special to the table. I know it's still is just in the beginning stages of who will make the team but they're all amazing and passionate about their sport it's going to be a fantastic Olympic Games for our ladies !!!!!

Right? I love aly, but I don't think her amanar was fully there yet. Hadn't seen her do it without piking down a bit and having bent legs during the half twist. I don't remember how she did it in Rio though and I guess they really wanted at least two amanars

Biles,Douglas,Raisman,Hernadez and Locklear is who I think will make it. I think Smith will be an alternate. So long as none get injured. I doubt Marta will take and injured gymnast. Hernadez, Locklear and Smith are all up in the air.

I don't think Raisman is a lock yet. But Biles and Douglas are all but locks, in my opinion. And I do think Martha will take a bar specialist and we will see how Maddie does this summer along with Brenna. It's hard to tell now. If Brenna has a good floor an an amanar, I think it will be her. If Maddie has her bars and great beam, it could be her.

+Wim Plans Life 100% agree Raisman is def a lock , she's a leader and proven Olympic champion that keeps great composer under pressure and adds important scores for the team . Also she's very supportive of all her fellow teammates , she's always the first person there to greet them with a hug and support after their routines . That's so important for this team to have with so many incredible athletes. She shows so much respect for everyone it sets the tone for great moral for the team . I love her !!!!

I have six girls who I think are in the best place to go to the olympics: Simone, gabby, Laurie, Ragan, and then either Maggie or Aly. I'm not sure if Aly can remain consistent and strong and I'm not sure how Maggie will compete after her knee injury. Team USA really doesn't need a bars specialist but if there was one I think it would be Ashton because of her lines and connections.

NBC focuses too much Laurie and less on Ragan. TBH I enjoy Ragan much more than Laurie because her routines are more diverse (They are both pretty awesome on floor tho) I love how they don't Dwell on Brennas one bad performance too much. Poor Ragan tho, people have her so much hate for making a mistake and not being as good as in Jesolo because she was flewn in two days before and was sick.

+mjamitche5 But, I thought Ragan was Waaaay underscored especially on vault and beam. I mean, compare her EF and TF routine, how did TF score lower than EF? The Judges were on crack for her routine. The rest I thought were accurate. Her vault E score compared to Alys? That didn't make any sense. Yes, she has her form issues but Aly had that but worse and landing problems.

+Ilise Angel Ragan only beat Laurie at Jesolo in the AA because Laurie dragged her feet on the ground on her Pak salto. Ragan will make up some ground if she adds her Patterson dismount on beam, but Laurie definitely had her beat pound for pound at this point in the season.

+mjamitche5 True, I see Laurie as a Maggie in that she can contribute anywhere but better in beam than vault. Other than that, they have similar skill sets but Maggie has a better floor. Honestly, I think Ragan was a little underscored today, and she didn't have her best day in floor, but once she adds her Patterson dismount, she'll be the one to beat (after Simone Obv.)

Not really worried about Ali, Symone, or Gabby, but a bit nervous about the others (course Nastia loves the one who almost faceplants on 1st tumbling run.) As for first three, I'm really hoping and praying that Tim and the other two don't fuck USA's chances like they did with Maroney in 2012. Remember the vault finals?? They unnecessarily talked her up too damn much and added even more pressure to a situation that SO DID NOT need anymore -- and she choked! I mean, that piece NBC did just before, having her describe moment by moment her vault? Seriously?! So she knew they were doing it long b4 she even vaulted!

+sophia liao Yes, contrary to popular belief, Simone won a world medal on bars. I believe it was 2 years ago, and she was as surprised as anyone. I'll have to look it up to tell you exactly when, but that's the amazing thing about Simone, she is dominant in everything she tries and does. Even though she hates bars, yes, she got a medal.
