2016 Ram 1500 Black Sport Crew Cab 4x4 6'4 Bed Review of exterior, interior, features, radio, take it for a test drive, etc.
I'll be adding a tonneau bed cover soon and will add a video explaining the benefits and showing how and I'll also be doing a plasti-coat of the rims painting them two tone black and brushed aluminum. I think this is still the best looking truck on the market, with its cult crosshair design and the ram logo. Black sport model with Hemi 5.7 is so nice!

Thanks, I have since traded it in an got the 2019 Limited, OMG the leather inside is like butter and I thought the Sport was nice. I had to haggle like a mofo to get a good price going to many dealers and the same ones for several months and certain times of the months to get the incentives and dealer coupons, etc. because I'm cheap!

You can switch from 4wd to 2wd I never knew that just thought if you got a 4wd that's all you're able to drive in

+Andre Robinson nope you could select 2 wheel drive 4 Wheel Drive High 4 wheel drive low or automatic 4 wheel drive which has a clutch in it that is automatic so if it senses that the wheels are slipping four wheel drive will automatically kick in

43:50 when on the freeway interstate it's best to use the cruise control for better mpgs and the cylinder deactivation takes over unless you pulling a load.

A few details I'll like to point out that may help you guys out that are not completely sure about truck. 1. Remote start - you have to press TWICE QUICKLY and release for it to start. (Not click and hold) 2. (4WD AUTO) - automatically switches to 2WD or 4WD LOCK depending on terrain. A neat feature for those who don't know how to use the 4x4 system (I.e. elders or women OR just for convenience). They literally just drive over any terrain the computer will determine whether to use 2WD or 4WD.

You can do either to start remotely, either click remote start button twice or hold it down. 4WD Auto mode is like an automatic clutch, it will drive in 2WD unless the tires begin to slip then it will automatically kick into 4WD.

I.T. Intern the auto 4wd is actually an auto 3 wheel drive front wheels will catch if slipping.

Only thing that sucks with the sport is that the front bumper cover extends down as a spoiler does and you need to cut through this plastic if you want to attach a plow. Even though this truck can handle a plow its probably not best for regular commercial plow use as the frames are light duty compared to the 2500 series and higher which also have HD springs and front end components however the solid steering blows on the current 2500's. I cant wait for the newly designed 2020 2500 series i may get one with the Cummins diesel and all my trucks features

I just installed a bed cover myself but not the hard 3 piece back flip, I ordered and installed on my own the Tonneau Pro Low Roll which allows use of bed rails and pockets, this cover lies between the rails. I will be posting soon my video where I installed it, in the rain... PS. buying it and installing it yourself saves a few hundred

Ohioguy actually these are full length and flat the black ones are short and round tubes looking clunky and big by comparison and dont have as much stepping area or grips on top as these do.

If you have them rims I keep hearing from people that live in colder climates like in Canada that snow, ice, mud, dirt, build up behind the rim after a while and causes the wheel to shake because it's off balance

Great truck vid. I got the 2016 SLT didn't want to pay half my mortgage on a fancy edition vehicle. So far so good not as many features as yours. These folks need to calm down with this Trump stuff. Keith Pond YES i can close the bed with an atv in it but not with the shorter bed. Also my ramps fit at an angle. Can just carry more yet still not a full size 8"

great video!! Go Trump!!! i guess my only question is this: how do you play the stereo and charge the cell phone when you are sitting in the truck but not running it, being that it is "Push-Start". Do you know what i mean? Like in other cars you can turn the key backwards or forwards so its not feeding off the battery, but still some of your stuff is still running.

great question I'll have to check to see if the usb chargers operate when the vehicle is not running just a guess but I'm going to throw out there probably not because when you shut the vehicle off the radio stays on for a little while but it shuts off after like 60 Seconds

Wow, thats really disappointing in all this advanced technology. I actually liked the idea of push start. But now im rethinking it. -Do you know how many husbands sit in there vehicles in the parking lot waiting for their wives to come out of Target? Who wants to waste gas just to charge your iphone and listen to the stereo? How could car manufactures not figure this out?? :( :( If this is officially the case, then i deff do not want push start at all. Please let me know if you have anymore updates....

tylercj307 ok here is the deal, just press the start button without foot on break and it wont start however the power will go on for about 5-10 minutes so you can listen to radio talk on phone etc. No more disappointment

Do you homework people and stay away from the 6 cylinder RAM ecodiesel. They don't take the little added cost to key the cam gears, but instead just tighten them down with a bolt that will eventually allow the valve gear to slip and thus the motor blows.

Very Sweet truck man, but 54k? Wow!!! What is it that made the price go up? Hemi? 8 cyl? Im trying to get one, but not sure i wanna lease for that much. Also... you said that it was hard to find?

Unfortunately in my area those are the prices. If you buy cash you can travel and buy in another area for cheaper but if financing or leasing the prices will be charged that are approved in your area. It's BS I know, in PA and other areas the same truck $10K cheaper or more. Canada WAY less however if you cross it over into the USA, they cancel your warranty. It sucks. What makes the price so high isn't the Hemi, actually there is a bigger more power Hemi available but the small eco-diesel cost more and the Cummins Diesel WAY more... This one has heated/cooled leather seats, steering wheel, the type of rear differential, rain sensing wipers, spray in bed liner, tow package, the sport hood and bumper, they really jack up the price for some of the useless aesthetic stuff and as it turns out, I want to install a plow but can't do it unless this bumper gets cut up. most of that front bumper is just plastic.and the 1500 has a thinner lighter frame metal than the 2500 so is not recommended for plowing because of that and the suspension which isn't heavy duty to carry a heavy plow although it can.

Be careful they're customer support blows. I managed to negotiate a good price however, they screwed me out of free oil changes for 3 years which I should have received as an incentive from my profession which I was entitled to because they used their own incentive which served them better and I paid for window etching which they never did. These guys will ignore you and treat you like crap after signing papers.

Most dealers will try and get you to buy what's on the lot and do their best not to custom order anything by charging a lot more for things with custom orders to get you to buy something on the lot. It is EXTREMELY RARE to find a rambox equipped 1500, it's kind of rare on the 2500 too.

Mine is 6'4" but not all of them most come in 5'7" bed. TIP: You can tell the size of the bed generally by looking at the bed size between the rear tire and the cab. There is much more space on the 6'4" bed than the 5'7" bed. BUT that being said I don't understand the point of your comment, seems like you're trying to make an unfunny joke of some sort 6 point 4 vs 6 foot 4, why did I say point in the video or something?
