Great Review, I'm up here in Canada, retired HVAC guy, didn't work full time out of my truck but did put it to work. Mine is also a 2010 Laramie 5,7 2wd 350,000 kms or 218,000 miles . Like you this has been by far the most comfortable ,reliable vehicle I've ever owned, no motor issues as of yet, other than manifold swaps. AND AN alternator ,did perform a full tranny, rear end service. Swapped out my shocks for a set of bilstiens and like magic it's a new truck with a great drive. Cooling system went out due to a slow leak on a long run and I pretty much replaced everything under the hood regarding cooling . AC Is untouched and woks Great. This truck eats tie rod ends and front wheel bearings, my last set 6th is SKF and Moog Funny you mentioned mud in the wheel covers, I'm gonna check into that. Inside the truck, front wear like yours, no seat heat on drivers side, and window switch on pass side. Replaced my mirrors complete, with a used set of ram mirror take offs. Everything else is working. Stock headlights suck but I swapped premium LED bulbs on the whole front end. Awesome but finicky. Well worth the effort. Body and paint in excellent shape, rust now peaking thru at the rockers. I'm probably 8-10k in repairs over the 8 years I've owned it. It's going to be tough to move on, but I'm retired now and I've got my eye on the hunt for a 2018 longhorn southfork. Great Trucks Great honest review. Cheers.

Well thank you for the kind words sir. It sounds like we've had a similar life with a similar truck I'm actually sitting in my 2010 right now it just hit 262,000 and it's running great. Although I've never had that many problems with tie rod ends or wheel bearings I've only replaced them I think once. I installed Air lift airbags in the back and I think I have ranchos in the front or maybe rancho shocks all the way around I can't remember. I'm in Florida I have my AC on because it's already 80° today. Cheers to you as well my friend!

About 17 years ago Last week I just turned 274000. I just replaced fuel pump. Everything else is original including the clutch.still running good. I drive 400 miles each week just to and from work. Yes I have replaced brakes. Lights. But mechanically it has started for me every time and got me from a to b and back With no issues. I'm sticking to dodges I got the 04 because I wanted a older truck for less bells and whistles less shit that can go wrong. It only had 109500. I'm sticking to the older dodges👍

My last 4 rigs have been ram 1500's. 2005...rusted out, 2010 had 240 tho on it and then wrecked it, 2014 Longhorn....LOVED it except for the air suspension (does not like Vermont winters, spent over 5 grand trying to fix it), then got a brand new 2022 Laramie Sport (white, really nice looking truck). I will say new are nice but some things feel like too much cost cutting (door cards do not feel as solid, moved the Sub to behind rear seat which makes it more rattly, no light under the hood) I really loved the interior on my long horn (dark brown and light brown colors).

To anyone doing their research and wanting to hear from another owner, here we go: Bought my 2010 Dodge Ram (5.7 Hemi) with 69k miles in 2017. 104k miles valve cover leaked (had it replaced) 198k miles had another valve cover gasket replaced. My truck has new suspension on it and I've kept up on all the scheduled maintenance. It tows and hauls what I need. Currently at 201k miles and I know I could drive this truck from Ohio to Arizona with no issues. It's been a wonderful truck and I would DEFINITELY buy another Hemi Ram again! Keep up on the maintenance especially the tranny and flush that radiator, you'll get many years of a workhorse/play outta these. This truck has been to many states for hiking trips as well, and has been through plenty of rough backcountry roads. Never failed me.

@greasebellygarage15 күн бұрын
After I made this video I ended up getting the code that you got I had to replace the intake manifold because the rod broke on the shortrunner valve. I suppose that's possible on your truck but at that level of mileage I wouldn't think so there may also be a sensor or it may be another problem throwing that code. I just don't remember exactly what I went through in the exact order. The intake manifold was rather expensive for my truck because I bought it when everything was on back order during covid.
@donttreadonme21415 күн бұрын
