Hey Mr. Zee, I am enjoying watching your reviews! How would you compare it to Tiguan, is Tiguan worth extra money in your opinion? What about loudness in cabin, subjective in Ateca and comparing to Tiguan?

The Tiguan is a bit bigger and offers some special features like a HUD and so on. With the Tiguan you get the better seats even though the Seat seats were not bad at all. If you have to watch your money, you dont do anything wrong chossing the Ateca. If you want a more fancy options and the most space you can get - go for the Tiguan. [Jan]

thanks so much for the English review! german youtube channels start slowly slowly to realise that the world doesnt speak German and with english the audience you are apealing is huge! also small tip, try to take the mic a bit further or a tiny bit lower because the sound was not so clear sometimes that close to the mouth. ;-)

Thank you for your reviews. Good job! Compared with your review of the Tiguan TDI 190 it seems really more noisy from engine standpoint and from tires noise stand point. Do you confirm this impression or is it due to different mic settings ?

i like that camera you held up to the mirror what was it a sony something. also me and a friend hired 2015 skoda octavua wagon ususally i was doing radio stuff cos it was too complicated for him. also love your reviews cos they dont sound scripted like some also thanks for linking me to this channel cos i had no idea what you were saying in the german one

Hi. Really good review. Thanks for your work and your time. You say at about 45min when you start driving that you feel suspension harder in sport mode. That could mean that Ateca have DCC but is it possible that you are wrong? All the dealers I have spoken with says that there is no DCC yet on the Ateca. On first brochures it's written that it comes with Exellentce but it's a mistake that they have solved in new brochures. Do they really have DCC then?

Enjoyed your review, looking to ordering one, but need to know how easy a wheelchair would fit in the boot, as that would be a deal breaker. Maybe something you could use for a next review, just borrow a wheelchair from somewhere, to see how well it would fit in the boot, and how much useful space there is left. I ordered this car like it is showed here in the video, except i have also a window in the roof and a working "virtual pedal" to open the trunk (or so i hope) :P But i love this car, i have the 150hp though (not the 190). Because i chose manual and that wasn't available in 190... :-) But i am happy. I am driving a Seat Leon 2011 at the moment, i will have the ateca in a couple of months :-D

congrats. the 1.0liter 113hp is a joke for this car... so your 150hp would be great! i do thought believe you could save the rooftop money and put it in a DSG gearbox ;-) i was a happy owner of an ibiza cupra dsg 2010 and 10days ago i ordered the new leon cupra 290 dsg.

Eirini M Hmm, it was not about saving money to me. Either way the open roof top is in a pack called Premium pack". It's just that i don't like an automatic car. I like to "shift gears". And it wasn't available in 190 hp :( But if there is a cupra model coming out in a couple of yrs there will be more HP and i will buy that one. I have a Leon at the moment (2011), but because i am in a wheelchair since a couple of yrs, the car is to low to the ground for me and it's not easy to get in/out of the car. That's the biggest reason i wanted a higher car and this Ateca is very nice, it looks great! I drove the 115 hp diesel. It surely was okay, the car only weights 200KG (not sure how many in pounds that is) more then my Leon so for me, that was good, but still, i wanted more HP and i think 150 is a reasonable amount. Of course, you always can go higher, except not in this case then. Anyway, the Cupra Leon is really really nice.Which color are you going for ? :-) i liked the red one with the black rims...

Laurent de backer driving a diesel engine will be powerfull in low revs for sure the it will die in the higher rpm... but its not ok to compare diesel and petrol bhp. since the torque makes the difference. so again very good engine choice what you ordered. 150bhp realisticly is super enought for all situations and have active safty. i got it my leon in alor blue with black logos and mirrors.

Excellent objective review. Wish I could speak German as well as you can handle English. Having viewed the car, I can confirm all your measurements + observations. I prefer to drive manuals - Any news about Seat making the 190BHP engine available, with DIY gearbox ???. - Would be a winner for me - Keep up the good work

Thank you for the long and thorough review! However, I do have some pointers for you.. You kept calling the car Seat ALTEA and not Seat ATECA (for example when you were talking about the steering wheel on the 20th minute). Also, when you were (finaly) driving the car, the bottles in the middle were moving from side to side and kept making noise! It bothers.. Other than this, thank you for your input.

nissan qashqui is really bad in reliability. been a Japanese brand doesn't mean any more quality or stability. plus the fact they are sharing part with the french renault. lots of electrical gearbox and other issues. very cheap interior...and for me ugly exterior compared to this.
