I love my 2016 Bred 1s. It’s closer to the og, and the darker, somewhat more muted, shade of red on the 2016 pair actually becomes a really bright red and just pops outside when it’s sunny.

It's interesting seeing the obvious increase in the shoe size comparing the different years. Many people have claimed 1's fitting bigger nowadays and this definitely backs up that opinion. I personally find 1s running roomier than other Js too. Dope vid man.

So i have three pairs now the 01, the 09s from the dmp pack an the 16s and off rip this is gonna piss some people off but the only thing solid about the 16s was the tumbled leather with that being said the 09s feel like tanks but the leather is kinda iffy and the 01s are the pinnacle besides the 94s and 85s

Question about the nike air tag with the numbering. Why do certain pairs have different numbers? Like yours says out of 14k pairs when others say out of 38k?

They did switch the leather on them. Now using tumbled which is soft. However overall quality goes to 01 in my opinion. I agree though the 2001 shading is what I like most.

The name ''Bred" are Air Jordans consisting of a red and black colorway. It's only a recent nickname for the color and has nothing to do with the banned version.

Bred was a nickname for Black and Red. The 2011 release is known as Banned because of the X on the heel and other detailing. Jordan Brand did a similar theme for the 2016, but no X. Still the date on the liner. Back in 1984, the NBA 'banned' the shoe for it's color blocking, however it wasn't the Air Jordan 1 but the Nike Air Ship that came in the same color combination.

Jordan 1's dont crumble like the 3's or 4's. The sole may fall off due to age but dont worry about any crumbling. A reglue would be fine for some 2001 jordan 1's or older.

Hello Bryan!!! The quality and craftsmanship on the Nike SB X Air Jordan Retro 1 High OG "Lance Mountain" Black, it is actually superior to any other "banned/bred" release ever!!! They have also premium leather on the side panels and tumbled leathered swoosh, collar and ankle. I really don't get the poin from Nike in mixing synthetic with premium leather in "OG" retro releases from Jordan 1's, whereas in the collaboration, they did use high grade leather in the whole shoe. Do you have any idea or comments on the subject?! Thanks!! Best regards and blessings!! I don't own the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1...but I have heard they have great quality. I do own the 2011 Banned Jordan 1 outlet release and the quality is crazy good. As to why they mix premium materials with basic, I am not really sure. I am guessing to make more money on the release but they probably could have used synthetic all around on this release and still sold. Appreciate the compliments. I have noticed I am getting a bit better with the comparisons. I true to review them now before the shoot so I have an overall idea.
