Hi Pawel, did you manage to handle all courses without paddle ? The canoe was fully self-steering when close hauled and beam reaching last year.

Thank you , although not that light as your canoe. But that's price we accept for more seaworthiness and comfort under sail.

n00b question here : how do you turn ? Can you move the lower angle of the sail from an end of the main hull to the other end ?

Can you do a deep-water remount by heaving your butt up on the ama and then on to the akas - without the racking forces breaking anything ? Or do you have to remount into the vaka?

Kolon999 , If I’ve got you right, regular person can get out from the water on the ama, and then on the platform without breaking flexible akas.

Kolon999 we also mount light and easy “ladder” which can be grabbed when you are in the water, to let you comfortably step into Vaka directly. Makes getting in after a bath an easy thing for ladies.
