Just found this. Great thing you are doing and I wish you the best of luck. Wish I were there with you. Ahead of you, the hike from Petite Gap to Highcock Knob in VA "interesting". Hiked it 4 times up and 3 times down working with a trail crew.

love the videos...I was amazed on how its mostly quite and the scenery is beautiful and then when you were with your friends in town taking videos how noisy society is. is that something you miss when you are on the trail or do you like the quietness that surrounds you on the trail? your videos are inspiring me to do the AT but I have to convince my wife to let me.

I would think it would be perfectly reasonable to politely ask others in the shelter to be quiet if they're keeping you up. If you did and they continued making more noise than was necessary, that's tremendously inconsiderate of them.
