2017 Audi S8 plus (605hp) - 0-300 km/h acceleration (60FPS)

INSANELY FAST Autobahn acceleration run & LAUNCH CONTROL with the top-notch S8, the recently revealed Audi S8 plus delivering 605 hp and 750 Nm of torque out of the well-known 4.0 TFSI V8 (weight: 1.945kg). While engine, transmission and rear differential setup are almost identical with the RS6 / RS7 Performance this car is actually about 50 kg lighter than those two. The Sports exhaust (Sportabgasanlage) comes standard with the S8 plus but of course its no match to the raw and sparky RS6 Performance exhaust. One the other hand this exhaust sound is deeper and more powerful, yet very settled most of the time. Just to put it into context, a 458 Italia does 0-100 in 3.4s and 0-200 in 10.4s. This car is just insane.

What you are talking about are paper numbers. In real life race, the Ferrari 458 Italia walks the Audi S8. Walks the S8 - remember that. And for better insight, watch GTBoard races to better understand this concept. There is a big difference in performance between a supersport full-size sedan and a true luxury sportscar, the latter being superior in every department of performance. There is no comparison.

@@Vintager2002 Ferrari flies into space stock already. If you tune the S8, tune the 458 also. Also, true races are with rolling start, not from a dig. S8 has 4x4 which will drag it down at high speed anyway.

I can't really understand how those ECU tunning works, I mean it doesn't make sense how a small computer device adds this much power to a car. From what I can understand, the ECU's that those tunning guys use actually undos what the manufacturer did to make the original car's computer limit the engine power for so many reasons including CO2 emmisions, and fuel consumpution, and what not, to make the car powerful again as it should actually be in the first place, without all those benefits obviously. Please correct me if I'm wrong, because if I am actually wrong, then those ECU's are like miracles to me!

Jesus dude....by remapping the ECU you can change the turbo pressure (and other things), and just by that you can increase the horsepower in a simply and easy way.

Jort Rinket Motor Trend did a drag race with the best 2015/2016 supercars and the R8 demolished everything, including the nsx, gtr and everything else. Even the Viper ACR. i don't think the ferrari would stand a chance. Plus it's RWD.

I bought one of these new in 2015 and I also bought a Challenger Hellcat new in 2015 as well. I sold the Hellcat about a year ago, because my 5,000 pound, AWD, German luxury sedan that will give your back a massage is more fun and faster than a 707 horsepower Challenger. And yes you heard it right. The S8 is a beast and will leave almost any car you put beside it with no drama, it just pulls and pulls and pulls forever, it's endless power to your right foot. And I should add that it's been cheaper to maintain than my moms 2012 Toyota Camry, and I'm serious. Quality is worth the splurge and if you don't believe me, go test drive an S8 at your local Audi dealership and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
