I do. The point where I bought two M4s, back to back, without considering a 435. It's more than just straight line performance, it's the sum of all parts.

@@zack1788 that is 100% untrue. That stage two tune, which will require downpipe, will not miraculously make the 435 have a DCT, nor will it upgrade the brakes and suspension. As I said, sum of all parts.

The 435d is 3 seconds faster from 0-200 than the 435i and just 3 seconds slower than M4. A stage 2 tuned 435d is faster from 0-100 and nearly the same 0-200

I have a 328d. Diesel Soo much faster than I thought And I'm an ex owner of AMGs and m3. How? Because of torque It can spin the tires at 30 miles when suddenly floored That 2.0 turbo diesel is more than I thought

HAHA .😂will you go away, the M4 destroyed that 435i and still had a terrible start it bogged down in 2nd gear when launching. you need pilot sports 4's on an m4/m3 f80 for the best launch times

@@CarN4tion actually 435d is faster thant 435i to 100kmh because iirc the diesel comes with xdrive as standard. Still, the petrol is faster to 200.

I’m sure it could make a significant difference if you were to put the 435 in aggressive sport shift mode and have a full tank, as performance is limited without the fuel injection upgrades as well as difference in shift response. Thanks for sharing though.

435i is much cheaper and with exhaust and ec tune will destroy m2 and m4

No. An exhaust and tune will make it on par with the M2, but still not up the M4 level. Also, a simply piggyback on the M4 will put it out of reach. Plus, that exhaust and tune won't magically make it handle like the M4, nor will it give it a DCT.

@@johnulmerRacing Tune and free flowing exhaust will get your 435i faster than M4 due to torque, but if you tune M4, 435i cant compete simple as that. I would say ZF8 is better than DCT, and it kinda proves it cuz new m4 comes with zf8 gearbox and xDrive. M4 maintenance is much higher than 35i, so it comes down to money, can you maintain the car cuz M cars need something done to them every 3 months xD

@@TheRealNaika You're on point with the exception of the ZF8 vs the DCT. The DCT is 2.5 times quicker shifting, with less parasitic loss, than the ZF8. It's not even remotely close. An exhaust and tune bring it up close acceleration speed as the M4, but that's about it. Tune that M4 for less than a grand and it all goes out the window.
