The way I see it if you want the best BMW out the box go for the M. I do recommend going 335i/435i mainly because the aftermarket support will make you as fast or faster than an M3-M4. If your really serious about performance go M like you said.

I thought the 435i was too underwhelming...or rather...too subtle for a sports car. Its superbly comfortable and smooth, but the way the engine/trans delivers the power is so understated that you don't even realize or feel how fast you're going, then when you look down at your speedo and you're like WOAH. OK. Wow...its just not an event. Is that cuz it's bad? Nope. It's almost too good. It masks how hooliganish you're driving to the point of detracting from your involvement. You have to drive like a complete lunatic to get your blood pumping in the thing. Great smooth cruiser GT car, not a great sports car.

I feel like the M is more of a status symbol. Like no one would bother looking at a normal 4 series, but slap on an M and things change. It’s like with Dodge and their varieties of insane horsepower numbers. Yeah hellcat red eyes are cool, but put on a demon badge and you have way more respect. Great vid as always Omar.

It’s clear as dAy the m4 looks way more aggressive than a base 435i. Fenders are winder the side skirts are longer , front fascia and kindney grills , the hood is taller and so on. I know a m car as soon as I see it. Picking up a m4 comp pack in 1 month.

Both are great cars but they are sooo different to drive. For example, the 440i (even with MPPSK) is very quick but also fairly refined and something of a sleeper. The M4 is stunning, but it’s an animal compared to the 440i and much much noisier in the cabin. The M4 also draws much more attention which can be a double-edged sword. ETTO but I actually prefer the 435i/440i as a daily driver even though there a plenty of times I wish I was in an M4!

The m4 is better if youre going to eventually spend $20k on your 435 to make it as good as a m4 but you lose value on a modded car over a special car like a m4 where it wont depreciate nearly as bad. Now, being able to afford the M right off the bat is the challengimg part

Great video BUT. 1. 70-90km everything starts to leak 2. I could be wrong, but 435i M Performance Edition has identical suspension to M4 3. Countless n54 m55 motors have failed by 150km, rod bearings on 2nd cylinder, timing. 4. 435i is very far away from being a slow or boring car, they are blast to drive.

here is the right question, $40,000 compared to $80,000 for a brand new m4, is it worth the $40,000 price gap? currently the bmw m4 is still in the first generation of vehicles so getting a 2014 m4 compared to the 2018-2019 bmw m4 is not much of a difference, just a few interior and exterior differences, i don't think the performance is any different.

I have the 335i M Sport with the N55, and I only use 1/2 the HP & Torque capacity. It's just my daily to drive the kids around, so I would have been fine with the 320i. I didn't like the sound of the 4 cylinder, and I wanted the engine not to work at max all the time, so I thought the 335i was a wise choice. I don't track at all, so the M3 would have been way too expensive, and frustrating to hold back all that power.

the video makes absolutely perfect sense. I had some experience with f30 and m4. Yes, m4 is the best absolutely. But it cost like x2 to 440i now and it really seems that you can have a lot of fun with a 440 m sport package. So me personally I would go with 440i just because of the price. Obviously, if you have 50k for a toy m4 is a better choice. But just not x2 better in my opinion

I live in Cali and with these gas prices I’d prefer a 435 and save gas for the inevitable maintenance costs otherwise I’d prefer an m4 in a lower gas state. 93 octane here is 4.29..so yep.

have you driven the M4 vert? curious how much slower the vert is due to the extra weight? I like the M4 and think the vert would be a TON of fun to cruise in - I live in San Diego - think you are in the area?? - and in so cal you can drive top down all the time... so i'm thinking a vert might be a tad slower but would maybe be more fun? with a tune I would think the vert could be made as fast or even faster than the stock M4 coupe? How about 435i vs 440i second hand? 435i is much cheaper, sometimes like 10 grand. Is it worth it to shell out that more money? Also, do this engine has some special bad point? How many miles (kilometers) can you make with this engine? Cause there are a lot of second hand ones with 80-90K miles. Are they worth the buy?

Darko Sola get like a 2016 low mileage 435i. Spend the saved $$ on exhaust, a tune, IC and charge pipe upgrade, and still pocket the extra $5k. - - - As for your engine question, just watch for typical failure points like the fuel pump, etc., let it properly warm up before driving - especially in colder climates, get 2x as many oil changes if you drive it in sport mode a lot, and if you do those things, the engine will not be the limiting factor in determining the life of the car. It’s fairly bullet proof.

About the sound this is not completely correct. If you get an m3/4 with the competition package it sounds a LOT better than a 435i. That high pitched turbo whip when you switch gears when you get the competition package and even better with the competition exhaust is unreal. You don’t get that unique sound with the 335i/435i

I live in cali and I see supercars and major sports cars all day going like 40-60 on the freeway the shit is crazy.
