i personally own and drive a 2014 alpina b7 and love it, i love the fact that i can murder 5.0 mustangs and vettes. I was fortunate enough to have driven both the m760 and the new B7 i like the sharpness and speed of the alpina B7..

I would choose the B7 over the 760i(L). It is more of a performance machine AND it is a lot more exclusive without being ostentatious...only car aficionados know about the B7.

Really glad I have seen that video. First "real" comparison between the 2 beasts. Facing that dilemma right now and I think I will go for the B7 (again). Petrol head says "V12" but all other senses scream B7 as their tuning is just incredible.

I'll have the 760. Because as you said, every car guy & gal must have a V12 at least once in their lives. And there's something surreal about commanding 12 Cylinders. I'd have the M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence Individual (damn it BMW, you've been hanging out with Samsung way too much). It'll be Estoril Blue Metallic (The SVR version, not BMW's) with a Caramel interior, Honey Walnut wood, blue stitches & belts, Chrome shadowline and a black Alcantara headliner. With the M suspension & rear bumper .... Because Individual lol. As always, excellent work!

I'm buying and leaning towards the v12 I've had 2 before, the 750il and the 850 csi. I've had several BMW 6's also. I want an 8 but they have problems because of turbo placement

I enjoyed this review. I was faced with the same dilemma: B7 or V12? I chose with my heart (maybe not with my brain) and got the V12. The B7 is a sharper car at the limit, but I don't drive at 9/10th's all the time! I enjoy the effortless power that the V12 offers at 1500rpm. On the rare occasion that I want to stretch its legs and make the V12 sing - it obliges and begs for more! The B7 is a fantastic car, but as mentioned in the review: every petrol head should own a V12 at least once in their life, so why not make it a twin turbo V12. The M760 is just a bit more special than the B7 and the V12 suits the way these types of car are driven. I don't regret my choice - the V12 is what it is all about!

It's like what they use to say about the difference between a Rolls and a Bentley. Rolls Is the car to be driven in. Bentley is the car to drive. I would choose the 760i because no matter what you do, a car that big will never be a good sports car. If I wanted a real sports sedan I'd go with either a 5 series or a 6 series grand coupe. I can't really make a decision on these two. I like them both. I like the color of the 760 but I like the wheel and tire package on the B7. I think the fit in the wheel wells better. A 760 in that color with wheels the same size as the B7 might make me lean that way.

Big sedans ain't my thang... but that color is wunderbar. I saw a WRX vinyled or painted in a dark matte-metallic bronze and that color has haunted my dreams. If I was a person that actually washed my cars, rather than just watched AMMONYC, I might consider having a Lotus painted in that color with bronze wheels.

IM GONNA GO WITH THE B7. I HAVE A 2012 BLACK ON BLACK B7 AND LOVE IT. ABOUT TO TRADE IT IN FOR A NEW ONE. YOU CAN GET THE FROZEN COLORS IN THE B7 AS WELL. DISCLAIMER I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN A M760 BUT I PREFER HOW THE B7 LOOKS. LOOKING TO GET A FROZEN BRILLIANT WHITE WITH THE FIONA RED INTERIOR

I personally think the M760i looks better. The wheels are just so cool looking and I personally just can't get excited about the Alpina's design traits. This is just my opinion but I also love the interior design options with the M760i & above all else: it's a V12.

Choosing between S65 and M760 is more or less impossible. It would have to be both or none. If I absolutely had to choose, it would be the 760, simply because it let's me control more of the driving. process and decision making. S65 is more of a nanny than the M760. I would much rarher prefer to be allowed to wreck my 12 cylinder if I so chose to do and don't want to hear any complaints from the car. Not an engine cut at max RPM or warnings or anything. It is my car. If I want to wreck it's engine I would choose the car that let me fulfill my dream of engine wrecking. Haha, that would be cool! Bought an M760i and just wrecked the engine outside the store and just chilled out and said "Yeah, I don't care. Just fix it for me with another engine, thank you". Also I don't like the autonomus thing very much so it would have to be the M760 for me. Individual style.

I don't get the comparison between the B7 and the 760Li. It's like comparing a Brabus vs an AMG. Alpina is a tuner (granted the only do BMW's). M is the performance branch of BMW themselves. Just like Brabus is an independent tuner and AMG is a branch within Mercedes.

Alpina B7 is More Unique. BMW even told Alpina dont put all there bells and whistles inside the B7 so they dumb it down FACTS. BMW knows there Mseries division can not compete. BMW Use Alpina and Mercedes Use Brabus.
