The rarest Corvette I have ever seen... I once worked for a guy who had a small car collection. One was a 1983 Corvette with 900 miles on it. Yes, a 1983. I guess Chevy built a special edition 1982 C3 to finish off the old line before starting up C4 production for the 1984. They made one of these special editions for every dealership in North America. They guy I worked for bought one brand new, but since the C4s came out, these were losing value quickly. His wife convinced him to put it in storage. He kept an eye on values over the years. It didn't come back up to its as new value until the mid 90s. He then saw one on Barrett Jackson in the early 2000s good for six figures. This is when he learned that out of those special editions produced, they messed up on the paperwork and called about 400 of them 1983s. He looked at his paperwork, and sure enough, his was one of these 400 (of which there are likely less than 20 left), and it still only has 900 miles on it.

Cause they know they're gonna get beat by a mx5 with no body panels and a turbo on track and the 666 boat made by Dodge on the strip. Supercars have basically become the decoration for outside the apple store in my opinion. Also service intervals don't help with needing a new set of tires every year when you go 200 miles if that.

Yeah. The car is fast. Believe me or not we had the one featured on Jay Lennos garage earlier this year. We went around and had fun with it. And everything you’re saying about the car being for the track is true. It’s a shooting brake that eats corners. And after we were done with it. Callaway drove it from southern Florida to Texas. They road trip that car everywhere and still put it on show floors. And for that I have mad respect.

Awful lot for a Z06 with a wannabe ZR1 hood, and the rear glass replaced with a less aerodynamic fiberglass piece made to look wagonesque. Alex G I saw first hand what hennesy pulls. Customer had an escalade I believe, it's been a couple of years and I don't quite remember if that's the right vehicle, but it was upgraded by Hennessey. The tune was so lean it melted all 8 pistons within a year, and nobody would touch it as far as who caused it. Obviously Hennessy tuned it but they denied it caused the melting. Then here's where I heard the story, a friend who does a lot of tuning and building, took this guys car in and fixed it at cost. He showed me pictures of the damage. After reassembly he put it on his Dino and its first pull was almost into the 16s for AFR

I had the opportunity to work at Tim Lally Chevrolet and we had this deal with Callaway Cars. The owner of our dealer, Mike Lally actually took these cars to Nelson Ledges on a regular basis and raced the tires off of them. To this day, Tim Lally carries Callaway supercharged cars and TRUCKS. Yes, you can get a SILVERADO with 500+ hp if you want. These cars are capable of embarrassing Ferraris in a straight line and in a track. They also fixed all the Z06 overheating issues with the supercharger to boot. 777lb ft is not a joke. The two 757s we had at the dealer were races so rest easy, @regularcars
