Hi Lois, sorry for the confusion about the washer thing. Phil was referring to a small washer we placed under the nut on the end of the locating ‘dowel’ - it wouldn’t fit into the slot - it wasn’t needed. The set-up that Phil designed is much more simple than that needed for the newer models. I’m surprised at that - I though it would be more complicated. I hope it works for you. Cheers, Len

Hi Louis, Regarding the dowel hole in the plastic mount - If your mount doesn’t come with one, you will need to drill the hole. Just an 8.5mm hole will do, but it would need to be the correct distance from the 8.5mm centre hole that is to be drilled in the stainless steel square plate that comes with the can. From memory I think it might be 25mm centre to centre - I did cover that on the video, so maybe check that again. Of course, the hole you drill in the plastic will correspond with the hole drilled in the metal plate. Tip… When you mark out and drill both holes in the plate, (centre and dowel holes) temporarily assemble the plate to the plastic mount. Once that is done, use a marker of some sort and scribe the location of the dowel hole on to the plastic, then drill. Or, just drill through the hole in the plate and through the plastic - that way you will know that the dowel hole is in the correct location - It’s the easiest way to do it. I hope this helps and is not too confusing. If you need any more info, please let me know. Cheers, Len
