I just did my serpentine belt on a 2018 Elantra. U don't have to take off the motor mount but take out the ground wire on the motor towards the fire wall and the horn bolt on the fire wall. Then put 17 wrench almost straight up (may need to double wrench for leverage) push towards the fire wall and pull/put belt on.

Very helpful thank you. Applied to my Kia Cerato and didn't need to drop engine mount, never knew about that belt tensioner thing before, didn't understand when watching but when I went to my car it just worked easy and made total sense, like aah, aahaa, yep, ...

Just did this on a 2019 veloster, 10x easier to come from the bottom to get the tensioner pulley, no need to pull anything off or loosen anything.

cool video , much easier way , just remove that bottom splash shield and have a long ass 17 mm 12 point , hit it from the bottom , no work up top just routing.

Question, can I leave the splash shield on or does it need to be removed in order to place to 2x4 on the pan? -Asking for friend

Can You tell What size is the Bolt ? , Is it 17mm ?

Really starting dislike these cars...I refuse to buy a whole new tool set to work on them...told my woman that we are getting rid the one she has..all this to remove a belt?...that's just dumb..
