The 2.7 was designed to be turbo charged whereas the 3.5 turbos were added to an existing engine. The 2.7 in my F150 is awesome, I have a 93 octane custom tune and it will go! I would choose the Fusion over the SHO just because of the 2.7 engine choice.

This is a sexy looking, smooth driving car. I don't know why everyone hates on it. The interior is a little boring but it comes with ambient lighting to spice things up and if you get extras like Navigation it definitely makes things more interesting and fun. I currently own a 15 Fusion SE and I have no complaints. I plan on getting a Sport within a few weeks :)

Just picked this up (black w/gray int) and love it! People need to realize that: it's a midsize sedan and not a track car. So with that said, I love it and it is FAST! Handles well too, just minor trim issues I have is: the chrome pieces on the exterior should be matte or flat which would make it stand out as a SPORT, wheels are sweet also. Interior is fine as it is but overall I'm very happy. Also got $3250 in rebates! (extra bonus), thanks for the review Mike!

i went and test drove this vehicle today. it's a great car, resonable performance and killer price. my only grit with the car is it has great mid range torque, then falls on its face approaching shift points. i feel like it needs about 50hp more. torque is excellent, horse power needs some attention in my opinion. overall great review for a great car.

I picked up my 2017 Fusion Sport Wednesday night. Traded in my 2010 fusion sport and the new one is awesome! I only have 100 miles on it. I was worried about the sound of the motor (only ever heard the engine sound from vids on youtube) and I will admit its much better than I thought it was going to be. So far I am really enjoying it and happy with my purchase.

As an owner of a 2012 AWD Sport, I was waiting for this model to arrive. My expectations were also higher. I was hoping an 8-speed transmission would have made into production. That can help with reducing the turbo lag. The AWD system remains a reactive one rahter than an active one. The mechanical sound from the engine is not inviting. I couldn't care less for the idea of artificial engine sound. As much as I do like a "sleeper car", they could have put more effort into making the exterior different, and I mean, not make it look a bit garish like the previous generation sport I own. A more distinctive front end, and even a slight taillight treatment would have gone a long way. The same goes with the interior. It looks rather "cold" inside. As for the shifter, it is already an automatic, so the rotary system is welcome because of the extra space. There were a couple of omissions on your review. One, is the select shift would still upshift for you. That is silly. My old Sport will hold the gear until either I shift or it hits the rev limiter. The other omission is a major one. This model has an adaptive suspension system exclusive to it. The fact that you don't mention the ride quality as much different from a Titanium leads me to believe that it is either not that effective, or that it is simply pointless complexity. Other than that, the review is the most helpful I've found and one that will keep me away from the showroom floor. Sorry Ford.

Hey there Mike, I've been selling Fords/Lincolns over 10 yrs. you must remember, if testing a dealer car, it has 87 octane fuel in it. The test specs are with FMC's chosen 93 octane, I don't know why they decided on that when all other manufacturers use 91 octane, except in the UK, where their fuel is around 95 octane equivelent. The 315 hp is actually n 91 octane in the Edge Sport. And for the fusion sport, they just rated it on 93 octane, there by adding the extra power. And on dealer gas, it's 305 hp/340 tq... On 87 pump. Great videos as usual. But your just not getting the full power out of a dealer car.
@AutoVlogOfficial8 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I'm fully aware of that and have answered this question earlier as well. I did have 93 octane in the tank :)

i absolutely agree. I too have a '15 Fusion Titanium in black on black. The question becomes if I was going to buy a new Fusion, would I pick the new sport over the Titanium? Absolutely, but I all ready having a great Titanium I couldn't justify the difference on having to sell and then start all over. I still love my beautiful, sporty Fusion anyway and there wasn't enough of a difference to justify the process again. (FORD)IFIED 4 LIFE

Ive loved the Fusion Sport ever since it came out in 2010. My family has a 2010 Fusion base model, so Im very familiar with the older design. I love the older design over the new, because its SIMPLE but yet sporty and has enough features on the higher models. But when the 2013 design came out, I thought they would never bring the Sport back again. So Im really happy with Ford. Those rims could be bigger too like you mentioned. I think their too small for the car. But I would still buy this car one day. I would buy a 2012 Fusion Sport in candy red before Id buy something this high tech.

Def on my top 5 list for my next car. Wish there were other color options for the interior though. Dark earth gray is nice but prefer a black interior as well. Cool videos man keep it up!

As for my thoughts on the Fusion models. The Sport is definitely worth the money and the speed is amazing. I'm not sure how I feel about the suede inserts yet on the seats. Almost feels like cloth seats, but it does keep you from moving. I wouldn't mind all leather. If you don't get a Sport, I would rather a fully loaded Titanium with 19" wheels. I think the Platinum is too old man feeling with the rims it has and the interior dash color isn't fantastic. I do wish all gray seats/dash/wheel was an option on any trim.

I picked one of these bad boys up on the 5th and I LOVE it. However, I'd like to know more about this "induction noise" I've heard you mention a few times and what speakers have to do with it. One of the things I love about it is the sound. Are you saying that sound is fake? I'm trying to find some info on this, but not having much luck other than some tidbits on noise cancellation speakers that are apparently not uncommon in new cars these days. Is that what you hear in the FuSpo?
@BmacRDX8 жыл бұрын
The sound isn't fake. There is ANC to get rid of unwanted noises, but the sound you hear is the real sound. The sound isn't coming through the speakers, either.

Your rage is understandable, however "induction" nois isn't the sound piped through the speakers. That "digitally augmented" or enhanced. "Induction noise" is the sounds made at the top of the motor when it inhales (that lexus MANUALLY pipes in without electronic enhancement) digital augmentation of the exhaust note through the speakers is a completely different thing.

I like it very much. But I would like for the rear deck lid spoiler(wing) to look like the one on the 1997 Ford Thunderbird. I don't understand this trend toward synthetic engine noise. Why not just pipe in some exhaust or engine sound? If I owned a car like this or the new Mustang I'd pull a fuse or two and take out the muffler! If people want performance without sound, get something else! A performance car should be pure, dirty noise! (See F-Type)

Do you feel the Taurus SHO sounds better naturally and if so what would you compare it's exhaust note to?
@AutoVlogOfficial8 жыл бұрын
I talk about that in the video :)

The 2016 Chrysler 200 received five stars from the NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS

hello there great review sir I was wondering have you ever driven a V6 accord or a V6 Camry and if you have how does this sport compare
@AutoVlogOfficial8 жыл бұрын
Thank you ! Yes I have.. they are great engines but they do not come in AWD, the feeling is different from FWD, better grip and the Fusion is also quicker

I drove both cars and between the 2016 Toyota Avalon Limited and 2017 Ford Fusion Sport. What is your option of the two cars?
@AutoVlogOfficial8 жыл бұрын
They are very different cars in my opinion.. I would pick the Fusion

It has a good amount of power, but the weight holds it back a lot. Its close to 200 pounds heavier than a 2.0 awd, so even with 85 more horsepower it doesnt feel that much quicker I bet.
@AutoVlogOfficial8 жыл бұрын
It's definitely faster then my 2.0.. but yes the weight is an issue.. it would be a lot faster if they weighed the same

Is the car smooth and quite when driving it??

Very

+AutoVlog so the V6 didn't make the vehicle sound louder?

When you plant your foot down on your V-6 fwd accord keep a firm grip on the steering wheel or you'll be into a curb or ditch. An AWD Fusion 380lbs torque it just hauls ass

Your car has an option package. The base sport is missing a lot of conveniences, like Nav, heated/cooled seats, Sony, etc.

for a small sedan like that it's really heavy in comparison a Saturn Vue is 3400 pounds with AWD and and a v6 but without turbos and its a suv and alot slower

it would have been cool to point the camera at the speedometer while driving.

Did that car for $40k come with the blind spot monitoring, side collision warning, and all the other driver aids or no? I ask because I'm probably to get one with the dual moonroof, and upgraded stereo system.
@AutoVlogOfficial8 жыл бұрын
This one was missing the BLIS/lane keeping system and collision warning. Also, the Fusion does not come with dual moonroof, you will have to go Lincoln MKZ for that.

+AutoVlog that's ok. I actually love e the mirrors on the car. Most people just turn and stop when the car beeps at them... 🙄🙄🙄. What's your opinion, is the extra stuff worth it or not? Does it help resale value or not really? Can you add that stuff later to the car?

I have a 2015 Titanium and the lease is up in Oct. I definately want this. Is this faster than the 2010 Sport with the 3.5 V6?
