for a 6000lbs truck, 0-60 5.3 is ridiculously fucking fast

Great video! What kind of bed cover is that? It does not look like it fits? And what is the connection on the right side of the rear plate?
@Realtruck7 жыл бұрын
+CW4PWR that is actually going to be a Gator Tri-fold cover. This cover is actually made for the vehicle, you will notice that the seals are sitting a little high only because it's brand new on the truck. These will relax over time and not be so apparent. As far as the connection on the right side, I believe that is going to be for the spare tire so that you can lower it down.

You should mention that most of the items you listed are optional equipment or come packaged in a group.

such a cool truck! no start up or Rev? probably for the best lol. Let the numbers do the talking not the sound. I think they are good for a 5.3 0-60 from factory which is crazy.

is this truck still all stock or was there a leveling kit added to it?
@Realtruck7 жыл бұрын
+MBYfilms, So far we have not added anything to this Raptor except the front and rear bumpers we've changed. In this video though it's straight off the lot.

what color is this one is it custom? It looks darker than the avalanche?
@Realtruck7 жыл бұрын
Drake, My understanding was that this was the Avalanche color. I haven't heard that it was custom in any way but I could be wrong.

Seems weird that Ford releases the 2017 Raptor right after they debut the 2018 F-150. Now the brand new Raptor has the "old" body style.
@DirtyD077 жыл бұрын
This truck wasn't just "released", it has just begun to be delivered. We've known what the Raptor was going to look like for over a year now, just took longer than expected to start hitting dealer lots.
@jaskdavis7 жыл бұрын
2018 is the same body style, just different front grill, Headlights, tail lights.
@goldenretriever64407 жыл бұрын
Acadiana I agree with that you have an New style truck with the special performance version with older styling ish
@996TwinTurbo9117 жыл бұрын
I wonder if you can COMPLETELY turn off the traction control and advanced trac systems; that is one thing that I cannot stand about my new F150, can't have any fun with it.
@DirtyD077 жыл бұрын
You can get a custom tune in which those system are disabled, but you can also hold the TC button for 7 seconds with your foot on the brake to turn off AdvancTrac and TC. There is still a limit in which the system will activate, but it's WAAAY higher threshold to allow for more sideways fun. I myself have a 2015
@996TwinTurbo9117 жыл бұрын
DirtyD The computer nannies constantly kick in even with advance track off. I want them completely off being that I do not enjoy listening to the trucks electronics working against what I am trying to do. From what I read, even with a tune this also disables the ABS system. I can accomplish this just by pulling a fuse. Again, there is no way to completely disable the TC without loosing ABS. I would hate to Buy this Raptor to find out that you cannot completely disable these functions.
@DirtyD077 жыл бұрын
give it some time. I'm sure someone will figure out how to do this. I know some guys that have just unhooked the ABS sensor when at the track for burnouts and such, but not on the road.
@ZepG7 жыл бұрын
I believe you can wire a toggle switch on the ABS sensor to switch it on and off from in the cab.
@996TwinTurbo9117 жыл бұрын
ZepG Now that is a good idea

Wow this is gonna be ridiculous fast with that ecoboost. It's gonna beat all other truck manufacturer to the repair shop :) I kid I kid
@goldenretriever64407 жыл бұрын
Sky Trooper Na you got a point I've heard ecoboosts have problems with longevity Our old Raptor should hopefully last us longer then this thing And sound much better
@Gmtail7 жыл бұрын
I give Ford a ton of credit for getting so much power out of a V6, plus having the ability to manipulate the Turbo spool times is pretty sweet.. But at the end of the day a decently equipped Raptor is gonna be 60k+!! I just can't see spending that kinda money for an aluminium truck with a V6, no matter what the power is..
@xxZerosumxx7 жыл бұрын
Gmtail What's wrong with it being aluminum? High end cars are mostly the one made of aluminum. Why? because aluminum is better and cost more. Don't buy into the Chevy commercials,they just got left behind again and can only bad mouth their better opponent. How do I know? Because Chevy's next truck will also be made out of aluminum.
@xxZerosumxx7 жыл бұрын
Gmtail It will hold up fine. Auto manufacturers don't use aluminum on smaller cars because it's so expensive. That's why everyone was shocked when Ford announced it would make the F150 out of aluminum.
@DemsRdisguisedredcoats7 жыл бұрын
+Gmtail Apparently you've never seen what winter road salt does to steel..These aluminum bodied trucks are an answer to more than one prayer I assume.
@4fastdrs7 жыл бұрын
no V8,no sale. ..it's not just a truck is a fuck in Raptor. 3.5 ridiculous. that's like Chevy taking the 3.6 liter out of the CTS vsport and putting it in the Corvette. it doesn't matter that it makes the same power or more power or whatever. A V8 is a V8 is a V8!!!

@tyrelthibault52647 жыл бұрын
Bartek Witas The Raptor is a Baja truck and Baja trucks use independent front suspension and solid axel rear.
@Jimmyxsx7 жыл бұрын
Bartek Witas you need independent front suspension to run fast offroad, and so far no other oem truck can match its offroad performance.

If what i heard was true & the price is 90k I'll pass on the raptor and get a tundra, first ford lied their asses off on the GT's fuel mileage and it's power to weight ratio so what have they lied about on this truck? Plus the interior is horrible!
@BigSam637 жыл бұрын
apllDgrapllD if you get the Raptor supercrew with every available option it's going to run you just under 70k

Deez Vannnd Yes, But have you ever owned a twin or single turbo? 80% of owners are disappointed with turbo after several years. Super expensive to repair. No longevity.
@fit4ya19757 жыл бұрын
opens tailgate with a button, for christ sake what gimmick is next. Best looking truck no doubt, but when is enough enough with these new car prices. Blue collar hard working people can't even get a decent car anymore without refinancing their homes.
