Just purchased the 2017 touring model a couple months ago. It's everything I thought it would be and more. I was in a very violent collision with my Honda Element last year (activated driver's airbag AND side curtain airbags) and came through without a scratch! I figured a company that made a vehicle with protection like that, deserved some more of my business. Thank you, Honda.

I sold my 2015 Audi A3 cabriolet and got a 2017 CRV. My experience: crv gave me PEACE OF MIND. I miss only the convertible top and a litle bit the Bang and Olufsen sound. The interiors ARE very Good. Turning in curvy roads is surprisingly good!! Had civic Si and this mom grocery getter mall rated ute DOES the job! Of course is not a blast to drive. But don't disappoint. Nice in long trips, nice in backroads, nice all round commuter. I'd rather buy a second fun car and keep this Does it all and does it good instead of a having a different car . I love this suv.

Wow, 18 years ago we bought home a brand new 1998 Honda CR-V.... how it has changed. It didn't even come with standard cassette player. Now it's like near luxury amenities. One thing our 1998 CR-V had that 2017 doesn't have is a built in picnic table.

I have a 2012 CRV since new. Has 60K. Have only replaced fluids (engine oil every 3k and transmission oil at 40k) and battery (55k). That's it. Love it. Only negatives, which are laughable, are the trunk doesn't raise high enough (if you're above 5'10" you'll constantly hit your head), you'll scratch the door with your foot when getting out (no matter where you sit), vinyl seats get uncomfortable after 2hours of straight driving.

Great job on the review! I'm the market right now and glad to see Honda updating the CR-V. This is just the segment I'm investigating; compact crossovers. I've test driven more than half a dozen vehicles so far, so I'll add this one to the list when it becomes available. Love the styling, utility, and updated interior. The 1.5t I think is appropriate for the segment as well; average offering and power, give or take. Totally agreed with you on the comment about torque! Hondas just don't usually have any, lol...Can't wait to test it out! Thanks!

Always watch all your reviews! Could you guys start adding a portion the reviews specifically talking about highway driving with the economic cars you review. Mainly in regards to the vehicles ability to pass on the highways. This is always my main concern with the lower powered vehicles. Especially here in western Canada, alot of road trips here involve single lane 2 way roads and lots of hills and you really need a good motor and gearing to pass with out a long stretch to reach some speed.

@ArseneLupin7868 жыл бұрын
Honestly, given the other competitors of CR-V, even there there is no reason to chose an RDX except for it's v6 engine and premium looking exterior. Inside is a disaster. They could've improved the dual-screen functionality but it screams 2012.

pochoun33137 I agree. The only thing is the TLX offers SH-AWD. If Honda offered the accord in AWD even on the top touring trim only they would easily outsell all their competition. ForeignBorn Patriot Bargain - a thing bought or offered for sale more cheaply than is usual or expected. Great review! I just bought an off-lease Touring, but I agree with you on the wheels; I prefer the EX-L wheels. All that extra chrome and the faux wood aren't my favorite, either, but the entire package is nicely designed. Tip for Touring owners with the kick-motion-activated: if installing a tow hitch for bike racks, etc, the sensor will have to be moved, so carefully consider who installs it for you. I've always driven a manual, so the CVT messes with my brain. WHERE ARE THE GEARS??? (I know the answer)

From the audio, the car sounds very noisy. A friend who bought one confirms that it is indeed noisy. For me, that in itself would justify buying a luxury brand. Most people don't seem to care -- little attention is paid to noise level in most car reviews. Opinions from buyers?

My wife and I have had a 2012 and 2016 CRV which we have loved. Great to take the dog around in and take long trips in. Also decent AWD in the snow. Not a Subaru but does the job. We have also upgraded the trim each time. Hopefully our next one we can get this touring model. The tech has def improved in 5 years. My only gripe is the gas tank size. It's a bit small. I would like another 2-3 more gallons. Our current CRV fills with about 13 gallons. So you have to fill up a little sooner than my accord which holds 17 gallons. Also not a fan of the wheels on this car.

Really enjoy your reviews. One thing that would be nice, and I'm sure I'm far from the first to say this, is if you could start reviewing more base level to mid-level trim packages. Although you do a good job of describing the differences verbally, I think a lot of buyers (certainly myself included) would benefit from seeing how those packages look and feel. I'm sure there's good reason -- from the manufacturers' standpoint -- that you always wind up in the premium trims, but from a consumer standpoint stepping it down a notch would be beneficial. Thanks
