I love this car ..I love the GDI engine sound...it's actually sounds like eco diesel...shifts very well and got that sporty European look for the hatchback style...this car very rare and when you see one driving by it's looks so amazing....all I can say it's great hot hatchback and specially it's got 6 speed traditional standard transmission because now days most of the new cars manufacturers install crappy CVT transmissions which doesn't give you feeling of engaging in the driving... This forte amazing 😍👌🏼✨ very catchy and shape of the car so awesome 👍🏼😎💯

I bet the 1.6 with the 7 speed dual clutch would be pretty zippy for an econobox. My girlfriend had one of these years ago, really not a bad choice even then. The Civic hatch would be hard to beat, but I'm guessing that would only offer the anemic CVT transmission. The DCT may well give this car a much needed advantage over the Civic, who knows. But if you can get a Tucson for a similar price then that one would offer much more usability I would think.

bdoleza the tuscon 1.6 awd is like 7 grand more than a fully loaded forte 5 sx..the sx turbo can go 6.4 0-60....civic hatch is about 6.8

Sorry for correct you Cameron, but the one who wrote the final assembly point for the 2017 Forte got wrong. According to many sources, since the 2017 model year, the US spec Forte (in both, sedan and hatchback) is assembled in Kia's new plant in Mexico along with the upcoming 2018 Rio (in both, sedan and hatchback).

if your comparing a top shelf civic or ford focus you need to compare the forte 5 sx luxury.....totally different interior. this is the base lx.....have you seen a focus s......or a civic lx.....they are A BARE DESERT COMPARED TO KIA.

You make the forte sound like a bad car I have 2016 lx with 14447 miles and it drives like new also it has a 1.8 tough little car

it does not have that much stylish interior like many competitors but i would say it looks better than the corolla , sentra , cruze
