Ittai-meaning “horse and rider as one”. A lot of words that define one thing: driving experience! Mazda defines the all-new CX-5 has "an SUV all customers will enjoy,"! If you like driving, this is the SUV that you need to get! The all new Mazda CX-5 has a lot to offer!
Is the 2017 CX-5 all-new? Short answer: Yes, but it has a lot of similarity with the older model! Inside you will find a 187-hp 2.5-liter inline-four SKYACTIV-G with a six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic is standard, and i-ACTIV all-wheel drive is optional. You have an easy-to-use infotainment that includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen, and a lot of optional safety techs like adaptive cruise, automated emergency braking, and more! But the big question, when can we test the 2017 Mazda Cx-5 Diesel? Only time will tell!

I have to say in real life, I think Mazda got the balance pretty good. I've not found the car to be especially lacking in real world driving. Sure, it's not going to win a drag race, but then who would buy this kind of car to do that? Acceleration is brisk and linear, I've not had any issues merging onto the freeway or overtaking. What I really commend Mazda for is not going tiny turbo and CVT. A tiny turbo can product great MPG numbers on paper, but in the real world if you keep engaging the turbo you'll never come close to hitting that MPG. And if you thrash the heck out of the Honda CR-V to get their faster 0-60 time, it's going to sound like it wants to die. I bought one of these as a secondary vehicle for light commuting, errands, and generally short trips. Despite owning many luxury brands, and driving hundreds of cars (I rent a lot for work), I've found this to be very impressive. It has a lot of character and really has accomplished that driver focus they claim. The interior is certainly up there with Audi. It is a sad reality that if they had given us an extra 40 HP, people would whine about the MPG, and fewer people would buy it. So I guess that's what you get in this segment. Having cross shopped this with the CR-V, I can tell you this is a lot more engaging and fun, even if on paper it is slower, it certainly doesn't feel that way.

people ignore what HONDA had to do to make the 1.5L not to explote!!!!! the 1.5L turbo in the CRV it's certainly a high tech engine (with cooling systems for the valve train, and the coating materials in the piston walls), but the sensation is there when you hit the gas, I mean, a really tiny engine propeling an suv with 190 HP, that kind of engine simple is not going to hit 300K miles for sure, not to mention its turbo.

The engine actually has more power and torque than most of its competitors. It’s just that the weight of the new model make it slower in a straight line. Throttle response is excellent.

6ixtynine 9.5 sec 0-62 is fine but for a 195 hp and that weight it should've been something like 8.6s (that's the bmw x3 20i). However, I suppose the cx5 is slower because the engine is naturally aspirated so the low rev zone has low torque (hence low power). But still I would've expected something like 9.0 sec

inox1ck it’s the weight. The older model does 0-100kph in 8.7 secs with 1-2 less hp and torque too.

Bought one of these (2019 same color/engine etc as this exact one) i tried loads of suvs in this segment, but found the new cx-5 to feel way more premium than the others in this segment.. in detailing and feel/quality.. and it's a JOY to drive! in my country it has a 10 year warranty (yes.. additionsl 7 years) that covers the engine, drivetrain and gearbox and breaks and all electronics..

pensé era más rápido este Matsuda, Nissan X trail 0 to 100km por hora lo hace en 8.6 seg altura 2900metros sobre nivel mar y Honda CRV turbo en 8.9 segundos, el anterior CRV era más rápido, saludos!

Would you be able to get your hands on a 720S or a Ford GT or some other supercar? I'd like to see that in some future videos to give some variation to your channel (it'll give you more views and subs!)...

That is a lonnnnng shot :P But we will try to get more exotic soon :) Autumn is around the corner here, during winter there is no one that would lend us exotic in that bad weather but keep posted for 2018! Any other input about what you would like are welcome :)

The delay in response when the pedal hits the floor is pretty substantial.

We now use 2 timers, one when the pedal hit the floor, the second one without rollout

I'm disappointed...cx5 needs 2.5Turbo as hell..7-7.5seconds 0-100kph is mandatory for me..

If speed is the priority you're looking in the wrong class of vehicles. Leasing an X3 or a Lexus might be the better option.

CarQuestion I was mostly thinking of comparing the cars in the segment. 0 -60, 80 - 120, and brake time. Additionally, if it makes sense, time to pass the diagonal test

Alex Bolivar yes, overall, a good package. Basically, it does what it needs to do. The interior design looks nice, the exterior is a bit weird , there will be people that won't like it, although it is inspired from mazda 6, which looks good though

Others may calculate when the véhicle start moving, we do ours when the accelerator hit the floor.... much more realistic!

That's a very interesting point, and I think that is why your 0-60 times are slower but it is important to note that it is more realistic.

And who buys a small SUV for speed? For the same price as this car you could buy a V8 Mustang! It's hardly the market they are targeting. The Ford Escape is dated and crap, are you really going to sacrifice a luxury interior, and ugly exterior, for a faster 0-60 time? If so, you might be missing the point of this car, which is primarily for picking junior up from school or running to the shops.

the ford escape titanium isn't that bad when you compare it to cx5 because it has a larger infotainment system SYNC3 paired with Android Auto/apple car play and it has dozens of more features that most cars in the segment doesn't have like 4 wd www.brondesfordtoledo.com/used-Toledo-2018-Ford-Escape-Titanium-1FMCU0J90JUB59962 ZCT808 take a look at it btw the escape is cheaper than the mustang gt
