@Arif - It's most definitely under-rated, and now the 2019 comes with front stainless steel braided brake lines, so they took care of that issue. The torque on this bike is amazing. With full exhaust, map, and race filter, the bike's making about 195 hp at the rear wheel on pump gas. Every other 1000cc bike is easily over $1000 more, except Kawi, which is $400 more. Honda wants $16499 for a real piece of junk, way under powered. The Yamaha R1 is the only other bike I was considering, but it's nearly $2000 more, I said no way! The new Ducati V4 is 1103cc which means it CANNOT be raced anywhere! 2019 Suzuzki GSX-R1000 $14700 2019 Kawasaki ZX-10R $15099 2019 Honda CBR1000RR $16499 (And what a piece of junk) 2019 Yahama R1 $16699 2019 BMW S1000RR $19170 2019 Ducati V4 (1103cc) $21,195

No, I don't believe the standard model had launch control, but still a great bike for the money! Looking back now, I think the new Yamaha R1 that came out, in 2015 is superior, and still is. That bike in my opinion is worth the money. Heck if you can find a 2015 R1 (new model) in good condition, low mileage, for the right price, that's the bike I'd buy, especially for track days!

Do I activate the L feature and reach 10 pressure and then cancel it?? And after that, at first speed with the clutch and the accelerator pedal, it does not turn. Is this true, my friend?

It will automatically cancel if you shift or touch the brake.

Can you launch with full throttle too, or just hold it in a way to get to the 10k rev limit? Best regards Chris

With launch control engaged, full throttle, the ECU will hold it at 10k

@@jryer1 Thank you, tried it 6 times today on an local small airport field. Worked awesome, took me some courage to pin the throttle, trust in the electronics and let the clutch loose.

That's cool :) I have a 2015 GSX-S750 with no controls whatsoever... I wanna go drag racing but terrified I'm gonna launch and slap myself on the pavement. This..... THIS is what I need :)

@Michael - You could trade your 2015 in for a 2017, which has launch control on it. It works the same as my 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000R

Going between the GSX-R1000 and 1000R. For the $2K difference in price I'm just not sure the launch control and quickshifter are worth it. Local Shop can FT the GSX-R1000 and put a HM quickshifter on for $1000 out the door. Opinions?

@Corey - For the $2000, the big ticket items are: Showa Performance BFF Forks and BFRC Rear Shock, Quick/Blip Shifter, Launch Control, Lap Timer, etc... Not sure if you could get the suspension for less than $2000? This bike is making 195+ hp at the rear wheel after full exhaust, ECU flash & tune, hi-flow air filter, performance ultra low viscosity oil & additive. Here's the best part, it's doing it on 90 octane pump gas, 205+ hp on VP Fuel MR-12. Me, I like the 90 octane pump gas mapping all day long. It's a weapon, but it does have it's little quirks like all bikes.

I appreciate the input. Either bike is a great upgrade from my 2005 GSX-R1000. With weekend back road cruises and an occasional 1/4 mile outing I'm sure the launch control would be a huge plus. Leap of faith trusting the electronics at 10K!! I can FT either bike for $380, and the dealer will throw on a Yoshi slip-on in the deal on whatever bike I choose. Right now they have they have both models on the floor, but the 1000R is Black, and I'd prefer the GP color scheme. There's a new 2017 Blue one still in the crate that I'm leaning towards.

@So Far - The base model doesn't have launch control, but the single R is an awesome bike. All the upgrades can be done to the R as well; Galfer stainless steel braided brakes line, Brembo master cylinder, flush turn signals, Hotbodies undertail, Brock's Performance full exhaust, etc ...

Great video! I'm really interested in getting a new GSXR1000! I think I will just get the 1000 standard and not the R version though. Amazing launch control though!

2Wheel - The standard is a great bike also. You can get an aftermarket QS/Blip shifter, so I think that's a great way to go. This bike has an amazing engine. Be sure to subscribe to notification of new videos on this awesome bike!

Thanks brother! Subbed and looking forward to new videos! What QS/Blipper do you recommend for the standard model? I am thinking of getting the FlashTune QS/Blipper along with their Tuning software which comes with a tune designed by TaylorMade exhaust, so I was going to get a Full TaylorMade Exhaust system along with that. They say I can expect to be putting about 200HP to the rear wheel with that setup. Do you think FlashTune is a good QS/Blipper to go with or do you recommend something else? Thanks!

Release the clutch slowly or just dump it?

With launch control on, you can release it quickly, but you should always test how your bike responds by working up to it. When I'm out having fun doing wheelies I turn off launch/traction control, otherwise the front end will stay down, even on setting 1, it'll just rise up a little bit and set right back down.

Yes it has to be off. You can do short wheelies in TC 1, but eventually the front end will come down.

Launch control is for newbies that's can't clutch and gas with wrist control. It's slow take offs and definitely never win a race against seasoned riders like Me! Rider assistance is newbie garbage.

I also run a street racing venue in CS Colorado. These new bikes can't run with 2016 or before rider assistance. We dust them with ease on the line always get the win. How many 1 liter bikes you ever been on pops. You wanna talk crap. Wallys ate trophy's idiot. Their Championship Masterpieces. Not local trophy shop pops. Nobody that knows bikes gonna watch your channel. You should try bird watching channel.
