Just traded in my 2016 Taco and bought the 2018 Tundra TRD off road 4x4. I LOVE IT!!!!
@diethersantos64043 жыл бұрын
You dont need to trade your '16 Taco because Tundra needs his brother Tacoma
@ramonconcepcion46427 жыл бұрын
It is the only real half-ton truck in the market. It handles and behaves like a rock solid truck. The TRD Off Road is the best off road truck at a reasonable price. It also handles extremely well in the snow. It is not the prettiest or most tech advanced, but it is sure a pleasure to drive, especially off road. Btw, the 38 gallon tank helps a bunch.

I've owned three Tundra's and this 2017 review is spot on.Mine is a 2017 Double cab 4/wheel drive that i still own.Other than maintenance, tires and a brake job no issue knock on wood.Doesn't some of the bells and whistles that the other trunk manufacturers do but you can't beat the reliability part!

Beasty too me,even after all these years I just traded my 2012 Tundra in for a 2018 ,with a little over 58 thousand on it,and its just as beautiful as when it came out in 2018,love it and feels brand new to me,go Tundra,now the 2022 I have different feelings about,and the 2021 still looks like a Tundra yeah...
@trdproronin61917 жыл бұрын
just a correction on something said in the video... said it is a double cab... this is a crew max cab, the double cab is a smaller back seat area with a 6.5ft bed vs the 5.5ft bed in this vid... tundras are great trucks, one did over one million miles with very few minor repairs, another towed a space shuttle.
@wm50o977 жыл бұрын
Space shuttle? Thats insane.
@TheTopher7 жыл бұрын
Good catch, thanks! That's the thing about these, the more I drove it the more I enjoyed its simplicity. I'm sure that'll factor into reliability in the long haul.

I'm very happy with my 2018 TRD 4x4, I don't care about the gas mileage (u don't buy a truck for good gas mileage) or interior. Just as long as it does what it needs to do & what it's built to do! Not just for the Tundra but for any truck!
@joshpittman60217 жыл бұрын
Toyota is a reliable well made vehicle. If its not broke why fix it? If you want the latest greatest technology buy a ford if that what you're into.
@tylerboyer78247 жыл бұрын
the only thing i wish toyota would do is offer the 6foot and 8 foot bed with a crew max that and offer the 6 passenger Crewmax in Canada again.

@azthetiks83786 жыл бұрын
I test drove one of these yesterday. Yeah thats a great thing to say "if its not broken dont fix it" but how does adding leather seats to a 45k truck break the vehicle? how does having better interior finish mess up the engine? How does putting storage units under the seat destroy the transmission? They could do simple additions to justify the price but why the hell is it 45k if its a model made from 2007? Are you going to pay 45k for a 2007 truck? No, I want to love the Tundra but the lack of basic features to even think of it being that price is ridiculous.

This truck or the 2017 Ford f150 5.0?
@tylerboyer78247 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you need the truck to do and what you want. if you want maximum cargo space with most towing all while carrying 6 people the ford is for you. if you tow occasionally a small boat with your wife and 3 kids then the tundra is a fantastic choice. also consider who will give you the best deal. ford tends to give huge incentives on previous model year trucks or new trucks. toyota gives deals that are ok but not great.

It's just amazing how many of the SR 5 Tundras with the TRD Offroad I see on the road! I hardly see the Limited, 1794, and Platinums on the road. Anyone know why?
@tylerboyer78247 жыл бұрын
the 1794 edition is overpriced for what you are getting. when you have things like denials and f150 platinum and Laramie limited's on the road competing for the same market as the tundra 1794 and platinum. people will generally choose the one with more options. When spending 70 - 80K on a truck you want the one with it all. not to mention Ford and Ram have insane incentives and discounts. Where i live ford frequently gives 10k - 15k off MSRP. And if you go during employee pricing shit you are getting one hell of a truck for a good price. It also may depend on where you live.

More American components than an "American" truck. I eat stock full size American truck all day with my 2017 Tundra. Topher, there are no parking sensors on the 2017. Parking sensors will be added to the 2018. Positive I heard you say there are sensors.
@tylerboyer78247 жыл бұрын
that never made any sense to me. why did toyota not add parking sensors till recently. for has had them since at least 05.

There are definitely sensors.. I have them on my '17 SR5 TRD.

If you need parking sensors, you don’t need a truck. People begging for garbage that goes out, makes vehicles more expensive, and jacks up the price.
