De lo mejor, si no es el mejor video que es visto de servicio a dropper post, gracias por tomarte el tiempo de hacer un video asi.

Man Fox makes their stuff complex. This video makes the 600 hour Reverb AXS a piece of cake.

Yup! Crazy to think that the reverb and the transfer are basically the same post, but Fox went out of their way to make sure that you would be paying them to service it. Now, with their latest revision, they've taken a complete 180 and made it incredibly easy to work on. Go figure

Great video as usual, some excellent tips with the tools. We owe you a beer! It never fails to amaze me how tricky Fox make some of their tooling and "solutions" to problems that didn't exist. These are the only post I refuse to service for that reason.

I totally agree, and I regret not creating this video in 2020. It would've helped so many people with this post. It's not hard to fix, Fox just made it unnecessarily complicated to boost profits. At least the post is solid, and if you take care of it, it'll last a very long time. 👍

Another great video. it really show again how much Fox stuff is over engineered and made to make it very hand to service. For example, servicing a bike yoke dropper, you only need a set of hex keys and a pick.

I couldn't agree more. It's evident that they originally perceived it as a service's revenue stream during the design phase. Looks like they learned their lesson though. The latest revision is super easy to work on. And yes, I will be making on a video on it 👍 Thanks for the comment

Thanks for the video. I wonder if a 3D printed version of the Fox part (398-00-544) would work. Do you have the dimensions of the part? The two diameters and width/depth of the slot. I have to open mine up to replace the guide pins at some point.
@zoubtubeАй бұрын
Below is what my caliper is telling. If you manage to put something together, let me know Outer diameter = 26.1mm inner diameter = 13.25mm Taper collar out diameter = 21.93mm taper collar height = 4.48mm Guide slot width on side = 6.3mm Guide slot depth = 1.65mm Both top edges are rounded. As for the bottom. there is no need to for a washer. you can leave it flat Hopefully this helps

@@zoubtube Thanks for the measurements. I'll print something up to test out. The pictures that I could find for the part looks a little different than the one in the video. The height of the part seems taller in the online pics but I guess that doesn't really matter.

Do ppl at fox get extra pay for making products that needs special tools to service? Is that monthly challange there?
@zoubtubeАй бұрын
IMO, Fox is actually a tools company that makes bike parts as a side business 😁

@@zoubtube that's explain. :D

Great video. Will definitely see it again before my dropper service. Question - I have a relatively new Fox Transfer dropper post that is far from service. But from the day I bought it, it creates a whistling sound when it’s moving. Do you have any idea why this happens and how can it be fixed?
@zoubtubeАй бұрын
Thanks for the kind words and support. It "sounds" 😁 to me like the air ports on the bottom cap are slightly blocked or clogged. This can easily be checked by removing the actuator and exposing the shaft, like at around the 8-minute mark of the video. Check to see if the rubber seal is covering the holes or if there is lots of grease covering them.
