I agree. As a 2015 Mustang GT owner, I find the LC Hybrid quite enticing. There's very little performance sacrificed for a better daily commuter. Contrary to most muscle car owners, I actually like a quiet V8 GT. The LC's rear seat & truck space is dismal though. Ford introduced the first V8 coupe in 1932. Let's see if Ford can make an affordable hybrid sports coupe.

Ehhhh I think 30MPG is a bit disappointing, an advanced transmission with a NA 3.5L engine backed by hybrid tech should manage better,, hell Infiniti has a Hybrid Q50 with nearly identical power-train that came out in 2014 and it matches the LC500 in nearly every metric. The LC500 is gorgeous and has an amazing interior so you can really tell where the money went, but can I really say it's all that impressive when it only slightly outperforms a hybrid from 4 years ago and one that costs half as much?

It’s not so much the cost - as you stated, people who can afford an expensive car like this, certainly shouldn’t have an issue with fuelling costs. However one BIG consideration is range. These type of vehicles are supposed to be long distance cruisers. Having to fuel up every 200-300 miles (like many big engined GT cars) gets to be a pain after a while.

This is the best luxury coupe one can buy when it comes to the overall package. Down the line there will be an LC F for those who want crazy faster and handling performance. Rumours of a twin turbo v8 in the works. In terms of luxury, attention to details, craftsmanship exterior and interior design and a balance of comfort and handling there's no luxury coupe in the 100-140k range better. The LC starts at 92k, the s class coupe starts at 110k or thereabouts and only gets far more expensive with options and Amg variants cause of different engines and performance driven numbers. But when it comes to design, luxury, craftsmanship and a balance of comfort and handling the LC 500 which is my preferred version not the hybrid is the better overall car compared to the s class coupe. I have seen the BMW 8 series side to side compared with the LC and the latter trumps completely. The LC is just the best overall package in this class if u r in search of a GT car not a sports car.

It goes head to head with a 400SL based on how often their tops get dropped and a V6 powered F type can't keep up till the supercharger gets pinched along with one's pocket book, plus the Lexus could leave both in the dust on a Palm Springs to San Diego run via 74/79, or Santa Barbara to Carmel via 1. i can't see anyone buying the LC 500h, its like when i saw the lexus LFA the only reason i noticed it was because it was parked in front of a resturant parked between a tricked out Nissan GTR and a red Ferrari and the first thing to mind was is that a new Lexus RC? then i figured out what it was and the light turned green and i left. these lexus cars are invisible

I love the Model 3, and the performance version is impressive indeed. At 116 MPGe, it blows away this hybrid's efficiency, and only 3.5 seconds to 60, it's a whole lot faster. Both handle very well, but we'll have to wait for Alex's review to know how they compare on the road. But the Lexus is in quite a different class, being a large coupe with a more upscale interior from an established brand with a reputation for outstanding reliability. That being said, they're priced in the same ballpark, so cross shopping isn't totally crazy. If it was my money, I'd definitely get the Tesla.

@@pepstein Tesla is ranked 25 out of 26 auto manufacturers for reliability/quality. (Consumer Reports, 2021) Lexus is ranked 3rd behind Mazda and Toyota. I think that tells you what the main difference is. Many reviews of the Tesla Model 3 include comments on the very noticeable squeaks and rattles, as well as the inconsistent body panel gaps and poor paint quality. It is nowhere near Lexus quality or value.

@@pepstein If you had owned typical American vehicles, you'd probably be very satisfied with a Tesla that has squeaks and rattles with poor quality of build but I guarantee you that if you've owned a Mazda, Toyota, or Lexus for 15+ years, you would not be highly satisfied with a Tesla that has had one or more drive motor, all batteries, and a display screen replaced. Performance is nice, but judging by all the Mazda CX5s on the road, performance does not typically make up for numerous difficiencies.

As much as I like Genesis until the development of their entire lineup is finished , I would go with Lexus. Genesis still needs more time to establish themselves in the luxury market. The g90 , g80 , and g70 are all good cars however they don't have as much recognition as the competition. I see why they started with sedans (you can't start a luxury brand without having some type of s class or 3 series fighter) but since SUV'S are so popular in the states nowadays they aren't going to gain as much recognition until they bring there SUV'S or a coupe to the plate which are still in the process.

One of the most overwrought car interiors I've ever seen, and constricting as well. My claustrophobia kicks in. For a luxury brand, I think this is one of the tackiest interiors I've ever seen. Awful. Shame, because the exterior looks somewhat interesting, especially the A pillar up front and the B (or is that C?) pillar at the back.

@@AS-er4ud to each his own indeed! I stand by my comment. What sticks out more than anything else is the seats. At this price point I expect comfort (and I'm sure you'll get with these) but the design, with the middle part of the seat extending out towards the person's shoulders then wrapping around the back of the seat.
