I have a Samoyed that is the son of a show dog. We don't show him, he's just our family pet, but he sure does prance and stand like a show dog. You can tell when it's in their blood. This Sammy is beautiful and I'm very proud of her. And what they say about Sammies being active is very true: my Sammy is always begging for someone to go outside with him so he can chase squirrels and run around. She is absolutely beautiful and deserves her awards. All love from a Sammy owner

Terriers- I know some will disagree, but they saved the best for last lol. I love terriers. I want a dog who won't be clingly, but is still lovable. It doesn't bother me if the group is stubborn in nature because I am just as stubborn. My favs are the Beddlington (this is the dog I want the most for myself), Sealyham, Westie, Lakeland, Soft Coated Wheaten and the Norwich (this another breed I am seriously considering since I got to meet one at my local Dog Show's meet and greet and fell in love). Oh I like the Cairns too since my aunt currently has 2, both brothers but from a different litter. Yay! Norwich won! Man that judge must of had a hard time though. Congrats to the Mini Schnauzer for 2nd. Before my aunt got Cairn's she had this breed. Yeah I'll be cheering on the Norwich for BiS. If I had to pick 2 more it be the Weimaraner and Border Collie. All these dogs are amazing though. 5th Ace Award- Uniformed Service Dog- These dogs I feel are the bravest because they're out there risking their lives for us. And some of them may get PTSD themselves. Like after 9/11, the service dogs there, it happened to a good number of them. Awww, Copper is very sweet and that officer is right about service dogs, they don't just help bring the 'bad guys' in but also help comfort others. BiS- Yeah this was a beautiful line up, I liked all of the dogs! Congrats to Whiskey! I've been watching this show since 2003 and I really appreciate the AKC for doing this show on KZbin because at times, watching this on TV, the cut out most of the dogs being shown. Can't wait to see what happens in 2019!

Wow, this Championship is even bigger then Westminster? That's amazing! I wonder if it's bigger than Crufts? Working- Much like the Hound Group, I don't plan on getting one of these dogs, but for a different reason. For one, they are too big and I plan on living in an apartment, plus, I have enough trouble controlling our 75 lb dog, so it be almost impossible to handle one of these lol. But there are still breeds I still like though. Like I love Dobermans and Schnauzers (my aunt had minis so I got use to them a lot). My fav author loves Russian dogs. She currently owns a few Black Russian Terriers and has featured them in one of her books. I actually learned about the Borzoi breed in one of her books, but I didn't realize it was a huge dog until I saw one lol. I got meet my first Great Pyrenees when I used to work in this restaurant in town. They walked the dog a lot and one time I was fortunate enough to meet him after work. They really are huge lol. The one I met was very well behaved and nice. Oh my aunt and uncle once got a Bernese Mountain Dog at a shelter and didn't know what it was. Because I watch these kinds of shows, I was able to tell them what it was. Nice dog, but he had 'large dog syndrome' because he tried to be a lapdog lol. Congrats to the Samoyed! Yeah I love looking at those dogs too. My aunt and uncle (who had the Bernese Mountain Dog) have owned several Boxers in the past so congrats to the Boxer's 2nd place. FYI, the currently own a goldie. They've always owned big dogs lol. Herding- Yeah! My 2nd fav group. I live out in the country and most of the dogs out here are from this group. I know it's called the Australian Cattle Dog in the AKC, but out here in Texas we call them the Blue Healer. Also our official state dog is a herding dog, the Blue Lacy. Hopefully the breed one day gets recognized by the AKC, but that may be awhile since the breed is mostly found in Texas. I don't even think there's a Club for it yet. My fav dogs from this group are Pumi, Australian Shepherd (in my opinion, our best dog my family had was an Aussie mix, she loved the frisbee hehe), and the Mini American Shepherd. Yay! Happy to see the Aussie Shepherd get 3rd! Congrats to the Border Collie. First time I heard of these dogs was watching Babe movie in the 90s. Btw, that intro music was perfect lol. 4th Ace Award- Service Dog- Yeah I am not surprised how dogs help those who have gone through emotional trauma. Sadly, I've have suffered trauma myself, so much so that my own mind blocked the memory of that very dark moment, which was a suicide attempt when I was only 11. I wasn't even aware of it until years later when my mom mentioned this to a psychologist, who did diagnosed me with Asperger's. I was 21 by then and learned to love myself by then. Dogs just have a way of helping me open up. BBE- Oh so this is the breeder/owner/handler huh? Omg, every time I see a Pek walk, I always have to chuckle lol. Congrats to the Whippet! Well this is all I am going to watch now. I'll watch the rest another time.
