2018 Ford F-150 radio black screen fix

My battery died and when I got it running again the radio display screen was black. I figured out how to fix it and hopefully this helps others too.

Holy crap this worked on mine!!!! Mine is a 2018 ford fusion. It has a bit of a differ t button setup and a bigger screen but i did the same thing you said and it worked for me!! Thanks man!!

Excellent advice! Dead battery and then no screen display. Was leaning toward a blown fuse, until I saw your post. Thanks so much! 2018 Ford F-150 4x4 pickup. Oh, and I live in rural North Dakota, called the nearest Ford dealer--and they told me to try and re-set it by disconnecting the battery cables. Didn't even suggest your trick.

This has driven me crazy messing with this. Sometimes typically when it’s cold outside the screen won’t turn on along with the call features not working.. yet the backup camera works.. glad I now have a solution to this annoying “feature” from Ford

Same problem 2018 F150 with only 5000 miles screen was black lost all radio functions did what you said by holding down the power and the right seat button it did not shut off the radio but the display lit back up and everything function properly… Weird… I wonder what the reasoning is for why the screen goes black

Coincidentally, my battery was dead in my 2018 explorer. Everything is working again, except the radio. I can see the display, though. Any suggestions? I will definitely try what the presenter on this video suggested.
