Like Zack said it drawn your attention away from driving. With physical buttons you do't need to look at the buttons you can feel where they are. It would be like trying to touch type on a touch screen, it would be near impossible.
@Dolby1096 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. I think this Accord gets the balance down pretty well. It's got buttons for main functions, and less typical stuff is built into the screen. I was car shopping with my Dad and we drove a Buick before this which was insane button overload. There is no way you could memorize the 30 odd buttons this thing had, it was a nightmare IMO. I would much rather have something easy to remember 2 touches away on a screen than a button hidden in a field.

Probably been said before, the E-brake can be set to engage automatically. The road noise you hear is from the 19" low profile tires on a rough road, the car is very quiet on smooth roads. The 0-60 time drops to 5.5s with the 10AT. The car does corner flat and has a very nice interior. As for pricing, dealers will discount the car around $4k off MSRP so it's an amazing bargain for around $27k +TTL.

Thanks Zach. I watched this realizing that this may indeed be a car I own in the future. I'm not arguing the pros and cons of manuals vs autos, but I get manuals. That makes it a pick. I had a '90 Accord EX 5-speed for over 6 yrs--best car ever. In terms of reliability it was equal to my Volvo 740 wagon but with a more durable interior. It was deemed boring to drive, but I could exit Breckenridge Rd off the Waterson everyday at 55 and stay in my lane while laughing. Very happy for Honda's choices here, since I've hated their styling with Civics and the rear of my Fit. Nice review.

@zackklapman35696 жыл бұрын
100% wrong. I always put the car in gear, and use the e-brake. Never rely on only 1 system when there's 2. My point with this car is that it LETS you turn the car off without engaging the e-brake, but won't let you start it without engaging it. It basically adds work and confusion to the driver for no reason. Some cars with electronic e-brakes automatically engage them when you turn them off, some don't. I just found it odd that it's required to start it. The computer should automatically engage it when you turn the car off.
