Meet the 2018 Honda NC750X. Some motorcycles are made to impress by muscle power: 200 hp superbikes that will blow your mind. Other just look awesome, but they're not that useful. Still, riding a motorcycle is not just about racing or going to a parade. It's about utility. It's about getting everyday to job in the fastest, most comfortable and fun way. And Honda NC750X was specifically built for this task.

I have commuted on many different bikes over the years, many very inappropriate mainly due to my ego writing checks my brain don’t want to cash, but if I’m completely honest with myself, the NC750x dct is the best bike for anyone whose brain still rules their actions and who don’t do much off road riding.

Thanks very much for your video on this bike. I have a 2017 manual model and I love it. I go everywhere on it from filtering through traffic and into the bush on fire trails and dirt/gravel roads. It's not a dirt bike and I don't push it off road but I get to some amazing places taking my time. It's also great on the highway and smooth as butter at 120km's / hour. I've now added some luggage and it's an awesome bike for long touring or a weekend ride. It's a very underrated bike I think - it's a joy to ride.

How do you find the seat comfort during/after 3-400 km day of riding?

@@leoveroude4492 sorry for the late reply. It's not too bad but its certainly not the most confortable seat. I know a lot of people replace the seat with an aftermarket one. I find it OK.

2000 km on my 750s. 4 l / 100 km. I drive the bike with a "sporty" attitude and with a manual clutch. Really good handling compared to my older bikes. It lacks some oomphh, definitely not a sport bike. But it is my best friend in the traffic.

Some small negatives: Just tried one for a week. I found the digital display to be very fussy and some of the information very hard to read. They could learn from other manufacturers WRT the display. I also found the front brake would pulse (for want of a better word) under heavy braking due to the saw-tooth profile on the outside of the disk. (It was NOT the ABS).Two very minor points on a very good bike. I didn't try the DCT but it would be the one I would buy as everyone who has tried it says it's brlliant.Thanks for a great review.

Had the 750S manual version for four and a half years. The strong torque spread right across the rev range makes it mega easy to ride. It's also fun and a lot quicker than many reviews say.

The music at 4:20 is loud volume compared to the talking. It's a great video. You talk logically, direct and accurate. Please try with no music or quiet volume music. The music is awful. Terrible. Please please please upload one without music and see which people prefer. It's a very good video, just the music is loud.

It's not a mountain bike, it's a soft trail or an adventure bike. The good part is that the torque of 68Nm already comes at 4750 revs/min, making it a relaxed touring bike too.

A wonderful bike all around, will not disappoint and will not let you down - it's a bike if you get rid of you will miss it sooner or later and if you move on you will never forget it - it's just awesome all around and I never take it for granted - maybe some day I will move up to the Africa but I am not yet sold - I will miss the all around versatility of the NC, the fuel economy, reliability and easy maintenance schedule.

This is a no fuss, no frills, superb bike .......NOT superbike :) for daily use & the occasional of roading. I have both the 2013 NC700X manual & the 2018 NC750X. These 2 bikes have now put both my 15 FZ1 & my FJR on the sidelines, so much so, I am really contemplating selling of my Yammys. Good bikes depending on what u want & that's pretty much individual, of course.

Surprised by your comment. I thought I am somewhat the exception but guess I am not... I have a 2013 NC700S with now 93000km, and a 2014 NC750S with 21000km, both manual gearbox. I absolutely love these NC bikes. As a matter of fact I got rid of my 2015 Z1000 in order to but the used 2014 NC750S which my Honda dealer offered me at a great price. The NC700S I bought new. Zero regrets, best all around bikes I can imagine. Safe rides and travels 👍🏍

The storage place is excellent - my backpack fits in during the ride and helmet if parked - super convenient, though keep in mind - not all helmets do fit!

wow owow ...agree on both points with most street Hondas as well. The seats have been too thin since the late 80s and the suspension is always subpar. Otherwise an excellent Seiko Watch of a bike line. I order the closest length 1970s CB straight seat cover I can find to the stock seat. Buy some good closed cell foam and cover the existing seat with new upholstery, leaving the OEM beneath. When I sell, I remove my custom padding (just staples and some glue) so the buyer gets stock if they want it. I am quite tall so a higher seat is what i want.

Ye. This one is a very good one if a storage in front and an automatic gear are wanted, but if not - a CB500X does the same, with even less fuel consumption ! And it's cheaper. And upgraded with LED - all ( from 2019 )..... I thought to replace my CB500X with this one, but on second thought - NO thanx. Honda should have made NC750 - more modern. Better rear fork, agj front fork, LED blinkers.... I think I wait.

Hello all friends, In 2019 I will make the purchase of my first motorcycle ever, it will be the cb500x 6700euro or the nc750x NO-DCT 8200euro. The difference is 1500euro between this two birds, and I don't see that 1500euro difference is justified. According to you, is the NC750X worth that 1500euro extra? and why? please. Thanks. I'm also considering the Versys650 7800euro over the NC750X, only because it is shipper and really worth the 7800euro. CB500x worth the price. NC750x do not worth the price. only according to me. Versys650 worth the price. The prices are from Belgium. Thank-you
@betruly7894
@betruly7894 5 жыл бұрын
@don storm Great thanks for this detailed explanation of the price difference. You have really helped me making my choice. I'm not going to drive the bike for working, but will be 100% only for enjoyment and weekend ride at summer+spring and maybe travelling with my daughter or wife for around 500Km one way, for 2 days. I probably will make around 4000km per year. I rode the NC750S and the CB500F in the school. When i was riding the CB500F I found it difficult to keep up with the NC750S, it's much faster, also I was shifting the CB500F very short at around 3500rpm , this make the bike feel slow. The NC750S have full torque right from the 2mm twist of the throttle and toke me at surprise at the beginning I almost falls back from the bike, shame on me. The low RPM powerful torque at the NC felt like an électrique bike 'ON/OFF', difficult to manage for me at the beginning. The CB500F felt less torquier, i can twist the hell of that throttle and will not surprise me at all, it's predictable. The torque feeling will appear at about 4000rpm and at 5000rpm I've started feeling the bike very light and nimble, that feeling scared me at the beginning i tough i'm loosing the control or like if the bike have started taking off!. The NC750S felt more heavier in this regard and it remain heavy and stable at all the RPM range and well grounded, It will not lean in the corner as easy as the CB, the NC will need your input to lean, the CB lean quickly look like it's falling at the corner. I've loved that heavy feeling of the NC, it's confortable for a beginner like me. I"m only a Beginner and I may change my mind later-on with more riding experience. Thank-you again my friend, i'm now considering now the NCX at 8200euro and the NCS at 7500euro for weekend enjoyment and short travelling.

Did you ride it? The torque numbers make it seem like it will pull hard from low revs. Probably good at accelerating quickly up to 100kmh/60mph. It's like a bike they've designed to get people from big scooters onto "regular styled motorcycles". I'd like to try one. I'm curious about the very torquey engine.

@@Herzankerkreuz67 Mainly because of the way it can be used in road and off road conditions especially with the fitting of after market Rally Made kits. Just fitting knobbie tyres and engine protection bars means that you can take a CB500X places I wouldn't take a road oriented NC750X.
