Lexus is far superior to BMW/Mercedes, but people are badge whores like most Asians so they get the BMW/Mercedes. Having a BMW/Mercedes doesn't fix their bad teeth and bad breath. German fanboys say their cars are the best, yet they break down within 25,000 miles and Lexus can go a 500,000 miles easy. The brainwashing is strong in Germany. You think a n F-Type Coupe or the Merc GT are made to last?

5:10: You're comment on the seats were not fully thought through. No matter Lexus, Cadillac, Kia or Ford - Good seat design shouldn't require 14....16 way adjustments. At this car's luxury position, Lexus got the seat design right. Rule of thumb is the less tinkering they have to do with any one item means they got the design where it should be - especially at this price point.

When the seat is very comfortable to begin with, it doesn't need much adjustment or customization. The seat in the LC 500 is considered by most who have reviewed it as the most comfortable sports seat in the industry and yet still very supportive during spirited driving. They even went as far as saying "why can't the Germans make seats like it?". The competitors have more adjustments because they're not very comfortable to begin with.

I used to wonder why Lexus didn’t stick 600 hp engines, over the 470 hp, in its cars to compete with the Germans, but I recently drove a 495 hp car and now I understand. For most people, 470 hp is the perfect high end of the power spectrum. Once you get to 500+, it just becomes too much for daily driving for almost everyone. Toyota4Life a lot of people actually. The compact SUV segment is now the most popular in the automotive industry. The Toyota RAV4 has beaten the Toyota Camry in sales worldwide this year and it might have a chance of dethroning the sales king the Corolla. It's kinda unbelievable ik, but I guess that is where the automotive industry is shifting. 85% of the car buyers worldwide could care less about a Lexus LC, BMW M6, Audi A5, Corvette etc.

When all you can do is cuss and talk about how lame Lexus used to be... I usually like these reviews, but this is a bad review. There have been non boring Lexus cars for years.
