The ES has gotten so nice it’s tougher to justify spending an extra 30-40k on the LS compared to the past.

You can get a used LS for basically the same price as a new ES. Also the differences arent so much on the outside, its interior, suspension, overall tuning, refinement, quietness, comfortability and build quality and the total feeling you get from a flagship car.

Thanks for doing this! This is the conundrum I’ve been pondering for months now. I actually have an LS430 (which I love) and plan to replace with another Lexus product at some point. Just can’t decide if the premium for the LS is worth it. I think I would appreciate the difference but you bring up a good point about parking and length … my LS is already big 197.4”… I think the 500 is another 10” 😳. Looking forward to your content on both cars, sir!

Did a deeper dive on the 2 cars. Just tried to bring out the key points on the two cars which set them apart. I forgot about the optional air ride on the LS, but I've never had an issue with the ES bottoming out without the air ride. The air ride is nice and does give you a better ride in the LS. But my concern is the maintenance expenses over the next few years when I have an issue with the system. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the video man! I'd get a used or leased LS if I had the extra disposable income. But currently looking for an ES350 and this video confirmed that they are indeed very similar to the LS at least in the aesthetics. The 300h is great for taxis and calmer drivers but I do prefer the ES350 F-sport trim though, looks more aggressive and it appeals to me more as the younger-audience IS300 feels a little too small for me.

The thing I'd like to know is how differently do they ride on the road? Is the cabin much quieter in the LS? Is it really worth paying double the price of an ES?
@mylexrcfupgrades1222
@mylexrcfupgrades1222 11 ай бұрын
The cabin in the LS500 is quiter. The ES300 is quite, but not as good as the LS. The windows are thicker in the LS that help reduce the decibel levels in the car.

I think I would go for the ES that’s fully loaded. As I have said, the ES seems to be more nimble in small places. Because of the low profile tires on the LS, it makes it a little difficult in small parking spaces with curves, ect. Also if you really wanted to go with the LS500, I would go with a 2021 because it has touch screen. In closing we got the ES300 out the door for about $58K. Lastly, if you went for a LS, definitely get a used one with low miles. The price has dropped to the low $50K’s and $60K’s. Get the luxury package if you can find one.

Also; if you did get a LS500 used. Get the 2021 version because of the touch screen. Better interaction experience with the car while driving.

Thank you for such a nice video. With US prices on Lexus (40k difference) maybe is still considerable the LS. But here, in Spain you have the higher trim of ES300h with those digital mirrors and more usless fitures for 75.000 euros (far too expensive) so the best option is a Premium trim for 52.000 euros (which is the only smart option). But LS starts here from 115.000 euros and the Lexury trim is only available with AWD and for 165.000 euros. So, 52.000 vs 165.000. What can make you pay 3 times more? And that all considering LS500h in Spain is only with atmospheric 3.5 hybrid with 299hp and 326 for AWD... which is a crap. LS is a beaty, but not a smart choise with ES300H on market

It depends on your feel for driving. Meaning if you want that more nibble feeling; the ES300h is the car. It feels lighter! But if you want that magic carpet ride with smooth power, the LS500 is the car for you hands down. Extremely comfortable. When I drove it to trade it in, it was super fast. But I didn't feel the pure acceleration from the car. In short the ES maybe more fun to drive because of it's smaller size!

@@mylexrcfupgrades1222 thank you for your honest review. I’m definitely in the market shopping for my next Lexus. I currently drive a 2011 LS460 so yes I’m very much aware of the smoothness the LS can be. Very boat like feeling when trying to drive it in a sporty way lol that’s why I’m debating do I want to continue with a LS or get something more sporty. I did have a GS430 2003 before my LS witch was amazing so I think I want to step back into something with a sporty feel again. I just love the power of the LS and the executive feel when driving it. Definitely a head turner
