Alabama coaches are going to cost them the National Championship by mishandling Tua's injury. First, he's been playing needlessly while injured. Thus, he has been injured now for over a month and it doesn't seem to be getting better. He should not have gone in the second of this game. Secondly, the coaches are not calling plays to help keep Tua safe. Clearly the opposing teams are coming with pressure and want to hit Tua to knock him out of the game.

Look I'm a die hard Alabama fan,.. that's clear. However, Saban doesn't over rule the Doctors at Alabama nor the training staff. If they say a player is cleared / safe to play - He practices and plays them, if they say it's dangerous/aka: Not Cleared.. Saban won't play. It's that cut and dry, that black and white. Now here's the rub: Why does Tua constantly favor that injured knee? Why has his accuracy suffered a bit every other throw or so? Why is he getting knocked out of nearly every game since the initial injury vs. Arkansas? Well no one outside of those inside the Bama program know FOR SURE the precise nature of Tua's Injury/what happened. However, it's quite obvious based on Saban NOT playing players who the medical staff won't clear ... based on Tua STILL being able to play quite well even with the pain and brace... that Saban is not jeopardizing Tua Tagovailoa by playing him. Some injuries aren't so simple. Some injuries are not at risk to get worse but will be nagging until a person/player has a LONG time to heal (or have surgery, or both). This is very likely Tua's case. Tua is not as 'frail' as he seems. He's not playing on some ACL/PCL whatever that's about to tear apart on any hit. They DO insist on him wearing that brace EVERY game, and it's a bulky brace that doesn't allow his knee to bend anyway but normal. This REALLLLY bothers Tua. This brace hurts as it's jabbing into him,.. and it naturally slides around and out of place during the game constantly. This brace alone is plenty to screw up the accuracy occasionally on some throws. When Tua is down... and people think he's wincing in pain from his knee... half the time he's just loosening and readjusting his knee brace .. otherwise he'd have to go to sideline/timeout/out of play etc. (He's smart for doing that). Now am I saying Tua has ZERO injury in the knee.. No. He is most definitely hurting there. It seems his knee feels better within hours or sooner of a game and in practice he moves without pain and he starts every game without pain. The knee just becomes aggravated from certain aggressive movements over and over , etc... Typically toward the 3rd QTR of a game. This could point to a Meniscus issue (not dangerous) or what Saban said it was a Sprain (ACL, PCL .. who knows). Bottom line: Tua playing is the smart thing to do. When teams take out players to avoid the 'risk' .. they're often bitten by that player(s) getting out of rhythm and a bit rusty.. sometimes significantly. Tua is a first year QB.. he needs these reps .. especially if: Tua's knee may NOT heal even for Playoffs. So it's imperative Tua get as many reps with this bulky brace and aggravated knee to learn how to be his BEST playing with something that will get taken care of in the off season. That said: Saban says he's playing Tua for Citadel, but I'm sure Tua will get around 8-10 throws and then be pulled. If Tua does Tua.. he'll get a couple TD's and 100-200 yards due to his ability,.. and then Mac Jones will go in (3rd string) with the stable of running backs Bama has to just burn the clock and score on the ground with everyone on both sides knowing it's a run play. This is the FCS team of the year .. So Saban is going to CLEAR the bench against Citadel.. players that otherwise never get a chance to play might see the field if things go as planned. As for the game plan - Tua had options to get rid of the ball on most every play (and he can always throw it away). The offensive line didn't do nearly as bad as people think,.. A lot of Tua's sacks were designed plays where an free rusher is ALLOWED in and it's Tua's responsibility to get that ball out immediately. I'm not saying the O-line was 100% perfect but unless you really know offensive schematics and particularly what the O-lines assignments were it's tough to criticize them. Last thing I'll say is Mississippi State has a Defense that rivals anyone in the country.. especially their front 7. This was known before going into the game and was proven during the game. So some credit needs to be given to their efforts. Though this is potentially the kind of attack Tua will see vs. (maybe Georgia) and likely Clemson later.. so this game has given Bama's offense A TON of great film to get better from and prevent this from happening again. Oh,.. and Tua didn't get knocked out of the game because they took out his knee (although they did aim for it).. He was hit low and one of their defenders came into him (Helmet first/spearing) and nailed Tua's Thigh/Quad at full speed. With the score where it was,.. and them apparently going low a few times.. along with THAT really hurting Tua in that cold weather... Saban called it off in the 3rd QTR at that point. I guess the point there is Tua didn't 'reinjure' his injury on that hit. There's already two videos out showing Tua moving at full speed practicing. Though, Jalen is definitely not rdy to go -- And I don't see Jalen truly being ready until AT LEAST the SECCG (and that's going to be a tight window).

We really are far more vulnerable than meets the eye. We caught so many brakes in this game as even i am wondering about the officiating... The end score should have been closer. We'll see in playoff and hopefully the championship though. Need to get past Lucky-Auburn thing. First, am grateful the defense showed up again for the second week-in-a-row Starting to look like the ole-Bear-type of defenses of the 70's, and-or 2015. Touchee! Will not go over Mr. 13 not taking the time to learn how to safely slide last August. But he was a true man and humbled himself enough let go of the cultural Pacific Islander-Warrior thing when scrambling. It is a very real cultural dynamic. Make no mistake though, everyone in the NCAA know he is playing on a glass knee...especially Auburn. That's why Miss State did the dirty hit. Puts extra pressure on O-line for rest of year as well-can they meet the challenge? Also need to do much more quick-n-outs. Mr. Heisman just needed to take the time to visit a baseball coach to learn to slide safely, as it is much more complicated than one thinks. Why NFL teams teach their QB's to do so. But make no mistake, at this time; the Auburn game, playoffs, and-or national championship; we are very-very vulnerable if he goes down, and Auburn has an intrusive-history of getting lucky against Bama.Thank God for the incoming freshmen QB's, they looked good on T.V. Afraid Mr. Banks does not have it beyond average, especially not at Bama level. Might want to consider transferring: Go west young man, go west. Though an improvement over last year's Buckets-and-De-bolts (who still haven't found his grove in Buff.), the new OC is either weak or still learning to be confident-or both. He is definately afraid to clean out and pass in the box...Body-blows in the box solidify the pass games, especially against Auburn, maybe even against Georgia, maybe. And with Tua hurt, going to design more smart quick-n-outs. Sorry fellas, Mr. Devante Smith is THE greatest recievers threat with his speed and having the best set of hands. When he is on the field, he changes the defense's psyche more than anyone else except Tua, that is a healthy Tua. Mr. Waddle is awesome as well, but height will always boat-anchor any threat he brings, especially when having to go up and fight to reach the ball. Especially when lined up against someone with longer arms ad just as quick. Love watching Juedy run, hate seeing him catch-gringe! Mr. Jocabs might be the O's most effective runner this year. Very consistent and dependable. So much so he seems good enough to play for a really solid-intelligent NFL team like New England. Mr. Harris is smart but needs more patience, and figure out what's missing from last year instead of rant-celebrations, looks kiddy-ish. But he will most likely do good-to-great in NFL. Second rounder..?

Actually it's laughable that any of you are acting like you know more than Nick Saban. It shows your ignorance because he would not play him if he had an injury. You do know it was crunch Time of the Season playing against LSU and Mississippi State and most likely would have lost one of those games without him and quarterback because Jalen Hurts. I wonder how many of you have ever played football because what was wrong with him was a strained knee and with a brace every quarterback with play in that scenario. What would not happen to other quarterbacks probably is other teams deciding the only way to play against Alabama and find any success is to try and injure the quarterback on purpose if you owe back and watch any of those sacks or hits against him today when players came in free they were diving at the quarterbacks knees which is about one of the most unethical things on the field. Sure if you get blocked on your phone down then you take any kind of hit you can but when you come in free and have a free hit on quarterback and you're not trying to hit the ball out of his hand and hitting him up top but instead you're diving then that is intentionally trying to injure the quarterback and they should have been throwing personal fouls and chunking people out of the game. But again for you guys to be acting as if you know more than a coach who has won six national championships and is a savior at Alabama then my God you guys are letting a great quarterback we have now cause you to put down the best thing that's ever happened to the University of Alabama which is Nick Saban and I love our quarterback but there's no way he is more important than our mother fuking coach you fuking idiot. Now all of a sudden you guys are going to have a quarterback in there pumping extra iron. What else would you have me do you morons? Give him on a good cycle of steroids I guess? I think I was right the first time. None of you guys posting that shit questioning the greatest coach in the history of college football has ever played one fucking down even in third grade

@@kevmorrow9659 I hate people who make these kinds of accusations. You have kids up at Maryland actually dying, so flippantly saying things like this is pretty gross. Nick Saban and that Alabama staff know more about Tua's injury that you do or I do. Fact is, it is football and guys are all dinged up this time of year, Tua just always has a camera on him because he's the #1 Heisman candidate on the #1 team. You just want him to sit so he doesn't beat Georgia again. There are plenty of cases where a guy his hurt but they say they can't do any more structural damage so if they can endure the pain they are medically cleared. If Tua is medically cleared and tells the coaches he can and wants to play and they feel he is still the #1 option above a healthy Mac Jones, then any team, any rational fan understands this. But to even hint that Saban and Bama are running out injured players for the sake of winning alone is gross and it's people like you on the internet putting out negativity, lies, and misinformation that hurts us all. The fumble that was gifted back to Alabama, the ghost block in the back, and (what hasn't been said enough and may be as massive) the fact that Alabama had ZERO penalties called against them. Give me a break. You can call players dirty if that is your thing but Mack Wilson picked a guy up and slammed him on his head, made threats to other QB's on Twitter, and a few gams ago R Davis was punching Mizzou players and didn't even get suspended. Do coaches actually take their players through practise reps and say "aim for the knees"? I'm not American so I'm not very familiar with American football. I also note that the Bama defense simply tackles Fitzgerald - they just wrap him up and down he goes. Like rugby. The way a tackle should be made. Very confusing.

I am glad the defense is improving so much. I hate to not see Tua play but for the love of his knee let him sit. It is so obvious he is misplacing his passes because he cant get all the strength from his lead foot. He has been spectacular with the injury but the defense knows hes hurt and they hit him low. Thats the scary part. Maybe let him play like 3 pos against citadel and get him rested for Auburn.

What has happened to actual tackling in football? I don't see players trying to tackle anymore, all they do these days is try to make a hit! THAT'S NOT FOOTBALL! The purpose of even making contact with the opposing player is to STOP THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE BALL, TO PREVENT THE GAINING OF YARDS, NOT TO JUST TRY AND MAKE A HIT ON SOMEONE! I can't believe coaches aren't teaching this anymore! A tackling rule should be implemented, if a player doesn't actually try to make a tackle, WRAP THE PLAYER UP, it's an automatic 15 yard penalty! No more of this just throwing your body at someone without trying to actually WRAP THEM UP and tackle them!

To the fools saying Tua has been exposed...when? When he was 25 of 42 and 2 TD passes against LSU and ballooned for a 44 yard TD run? And where the 29-0 score should easily have been 45-0. Then Nick Saban doing the smart thing and again running the ball since the LSU Defenders were doing nothing but diving at the Alabama quarterback knees? And had they kept Young News passing the ball probably would have been 52 or 59 to nothing? Or was it today against Mississippi State when he attacked up 24 points in the first half and my god what another perfect pass by to dropping that ball in on that one touchdown pass that I guess you guys are blind to see? and then again they had to begin running the ball and take him out of the game when the Mississippi State Defenders we're doing nothing but diving at the quarterback knees like yellow dogs. Or are you all Mississippi State Bulldog fans who are doing exactly what every other team does claiming the referees when your team is shutout like the little b****** they are? Jesus Christ the LSU bands have more class than that but I remember Tennessee fans saying the refs did it and Missouri fans saying the refs did it when combined they were beat like 800 to nothing.. well the cheap players have one thing the only way Alabama can be beating is to cheap shot Tua. Otherwise Alabama wins the national championship again this year and next year and Tua wins 2 Heisman trophies. To think tougher opponents as exposed Alabama's offense is moronic because it is have you seen anybody else beating teams like Ole Miss 62 to 7 or any of the other Alabama opponents they have snogger knocked all over the field? Nope you sure haven't. That's because this offense is just as deadly As It Ever Was with five star receivers that could play in the NFL today at every position and a running back that could play in the NFL today and yeah a f****** sophomore quarterback that could start for any team in the NFL because he's the most gifted quarterback to come in the college football probably in any of you guys pathetic life times. Did any of you ever play football because I think it's highly doubtful or you can't see because you're pathetic teams poor performance this year causes you to cut other teams down because your team f****** sucks as usual

1) Clemson 2) Michigan 3) Bama 4) ND 5) UCF. Note: If Michigan or ND lose they are out of the playoff picture. Bama out if they lose. UGA too weak to be considered. OU defense is pitiful. Trevor Lawrence is the best qb. Dabo is the best coach. Bama offense is really bad even with Tua in there. Bama will take care of The Citadel and maybe Auburn. Auburn is not good. The SEC has been exposed and overall the ACC is better. Boston College and Syracuse would defeat any SEC team. The Syracuse and Notre Dame game will be a great game to watch. Michigan and Ohio State both monster teams. Just my thoughts at this time.

The rest of the country finally thinks they have a way to play against Alabama and the way that has become obvious they are playing Alabama is taking one fucking cheap shot after another fucking cheap shot at the Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa. Started or at least I first noticed it against LSU. Then today the mask came, off completely when any Mississippi State Bulldog that came in free on the rush against Alabama the first thing they did was diving at the Alabama quarterback knees. When somebody is blocked and falling down then I say game on it someone that the only way you can at that point but when you come in free and nobody has blocked you and you get to the quarterback and dive straight at his knees you're not trying to make a defensive play you're trying to put him out of the game and it's pathetic that's the way these teams are playing. And it's happening at every other skill position. So to the Alabama players I say start busting the other teams players right in the fucking knees and do your best to try ending kids dreams. Someone must be really proud if that is the only path they think they can beat Alabama and I guess it is. Just makes me sick to my stomach coach is her coaching this because obviously the LSU coach coached his players to do it and the Mississippi State Bulldogs coach coached his players to do it.
