James Montijo lol he’s a big man though. I also feel that’s why the Kings should get him. He has a lot of upside. Horford and Draymond are bigs that push the ball too in transition. That’s a big advantage. His shooting will improve and he fits nicely with Fox and Stein. A really athletic group with shooting by Bogdy and Hield.

I can see luka making an impact on the kings immediately. They suck on defense anyway but him and fox in the backcourt could be a problem especially if Fox can gain a little more weight and hits his jumper more consistently. With luka it takes a lot of pressure off of him as a playmaker and allows him to focus on scoring and defense. I think scal and Cayley storm could have breakthrough years.

Both Doncic and Ayton are gonna be nasty. As a Suns fan I'm leaning towards Ayton for the sole reason that he fits the Suns' needs like a glove. The inside-outside game with Ayton and Booker will be dope. That being said, whoever gets Doncic is getting a player with the highest BBIQ in the draft and is crafty as hell as a scorer. That kid just knows the sport so well despite some of the overblown athletic concerns he has. Every prospect has their warts.

For all those haters of European basketball - Luka's number averages are smaller because in Europe you play 10 min quarters, 2nd he has played very well against Westbrook, Ricky Rubio, Gasol brothers, Victor Oladipo, Kristaps Porzingis, Bogdan Bogdanović ... all of whom are better than any college player. He achieved everything possible in the 2nd best league in the world, getting MVP honours in Euroleague and both the Euroleague and Euro Basket championship titles, at the age of 19! Mavs could package Harrison Barnes and make the 2019 first round pick (unprotected) for Chandler Parsons and the # 4 pick. Dallas picks Bamba & Porter Jr with the # 4 & # 5 picks. Memphis rids themselves of Parsons stupid contract fills a need at SF with Barnes and gets Dallas first round pick next year. Dallas gets two very young amazing pieces in Bamba & Porter Jr to team with DSJ and Dallas cannot tank because their 2019 pick will be with Memphis!!! So they have to really try hard to win games!!!

William Ruth I hate to break it to you but Chicago is not going to get Porter Jr, unless they trade multiple picks and Bobby Portis. If they draft one of the bridges or even trade down with the clippers and trade Kevin Knox at 12 & 13 they will be back in the playoffs in 2019. Porter is better than Knox but not by that much. Donovan Mitchell was the 13th freaking pick and he should be the ROY in the elite 2017 draft and the 2018 draft is as deep of not more deep!!!

DeAndre Ayton is clearly a harder talent to find than Luka Doncic. Finding an agile and versatile 7-footer like Ayton, with rim protection and 3-point range, is a much harder talent to find than a 6'7" versatile talent like Doncic, who cannot protect the rim on defense like Ayton. Its very rare to find size, length and athleticism like Ayton, he's damn near a "cant miss" talent. Doncic will have a lot more to adapt to than Ayton, like on the defensive end of the court.

The Realist Ayton IS NOT a rim protector. His defense is suspect at best. Many teams biggest concern is his defense, his motor and ability to guard one on one. In college you can be 7ft and just walk out there and average 2bpg especially when most of those you are guarding are 4 or more inches shorter. Hell Al Horford averaged 2bpg in college, he's the farthest from a rim protector. He had and still has a motor that's what Ayton lacks and still isn't a rim protector. Even Demarcus Cousins averaged 2bpg and I doubt anybody would say he's a rim protector and has averaged only 1.2bpg his NBA career. Ayton's 3pt range is based on a small sample size. He only took 1 per game. And the NBA's 3pt line is over a foot farther away than college. So the claims that Doncic will have more to learn is false. The international game is all about guarding in space defensively. College basketball isn't. The learning curve would be less for Doncic defensively. They both would have to adjust to the speed and for Ayton he would have to adjust more to the physicality because even the International game is far more physical than college and NBA players would even say it is just as physical or more physical than the NBA.
