I really like the GTD printables from Bohoberry. The link no longer works. Do you know if she went out of business?

I just did some exploring, and her website is down...She does still have a Facebook page but the last post was in August. I know she had been talking about rebranding, but I also know she's been having some difficult times, so I'm not sure if that's permanent or not...Sorry I can't be more help...

Thanks for the great content from 2020! I was researching tons of videos about bullet journal planning system and I think your system is one of the few that really understood the fundamental difference of task vs. projects. It is very helpful.

Hi, you asked for suggestions about a genealogy spread. Are you wanting to plan out tasks for certain surnames, for researching individuals, or for things to do at certain archives?
@MichelleChouinard

All of the above, lol...that might be my problem!!

@@MichelleChouinard OK, I totally understand!!! :) So I would recommend organizing your genealogy the same way you organize your writing since that's already working for you. Pick three main genealogy projects (like 3 novels) and use the same type of layout as though each is a novel. Then break down the steps into manageable tasks the same way you have with your writing. Whether the 'project' is finding all of the documents about one person from birth to death, or going to a specific archive website and finding all of that archives' docs that relate to multiple people in your tree, this will help you think about what is really involved to 'complete' each project and what work is required to get to your goal of 'finishing' that project. I could write on and on about this, but for myself, I tend to view each couple's Family Group Sheet as a project. So, I create a timeline for the husband and for the wife, plug in what I have already found, and then when I can see the gap years in my research (ie I realize that I've not found them in the 1871 census), that is my next task. THen I aim to prove who all of their children were. Once that's done and I have solid research on who they were and when they were in specific locations, I am now 'done' and ready to move back one generation to looking for their parents. It's also very important to have a Genealgoy brain dump page to store all the leads I can't look into right now without losing focus on my current task, but which I really want to remember for a rainy day when I can research!

@@kjw79 This is a really great suggestion, thanks so much! I can't believe I didn't think to frame it that way myself, lol. Thank you so much!!

I watch you tube on my tv. I also use composition sized journals. I dont understand doing it smaller. Maybe others dont have so much to keep track of? I go through your set-up videos because I've only been doing 2 types of bullet journaling and need to progress into a system similar to yours. You have a great setup for me to be able to learn about and I thank you for sharing. One of my bullet journals is "Collections." I'm a list maker. I do challenges like 101 things in 1001 days, incowrimo, etc I'm a family historian. I have been doing genealogy on not just my biological line but in step lines that link directly to me or my children, for over 3 decades. I'm a paper girl. I've set up 2 bullet journals to track my biological lines. One for each of my parents. I start with a 4 generation pedigree chart. I gather all I need about just those people first. Their birth, marriage and children statistics. Like Family Group sheets. Then, since my project is huge, I break sections up for my 5th generation. My gr greats. I start by assigning every person in the 5th generation a 4 generation pedigree chart. These are all mostly used for reference. Its here where I start trackers to find them in census records. Like a check off sheet. The hardest lesson I learned was to write down my references. Another pedigree chart without specific references on say Ancestry, is a little useless. I keep searching for actual references. Physical proof of the information. The records. We have short generations on my mothers line. When my 1st was born, our 5 living first born daughters were featured in the newspaper. There was another generation alive but not direct like our 5. It's a bit like your first bullet journal will be day-to-day, goals and achievements. I want all of my trackers for each journal to reference from there first. I'm thinking for my needs, my additional journals will be sub indexes. I don't think you need to know how mine progress. I've probably overwhelmed you. I had to break them down by 5th generation surnames because it's simply too hard not to. My mother never knew her father. My DNA found that family and one of his sisters is still alive, in her 90's. Please do your Ancestry DNA. I was quite against it because it probably goes into a federal government system. My children gifted it to me and it cleared up proof to some living others that questioned my biology, too! Good luck. heidi at abluebutterflymoment dot com

Hmm, I don't actually write on the tabs, so I'm not sure! I'd probably go with a thin-point sharpie, and make sure to give it a moment to dry...
