I've owned my 2018 since Feb '18, just broke 54,000 miles today...and you couldn't pay me to switch. The best vehicle hands down.

With all the talk about changing the tundra's drivetrain in the future, I freaked out and bought the 2019 trd pro (my first truck). Being a DIY guy, for sure this truck will make it 1 million miles. I have locker down console safe, diamond back bed cover, and black vue dash Cam. Zero complaints.

Tundra is the best Truck made! Not just opinion, these things if taken care of will last half a million miles easy. Sure a lot of Trucks Tow better, but not many people actually do that anyway. Or Tow properly!!

My dad gave me his 2006 tundra. Is about 180,000 miles now. My dad did not give it to me in good condition. I had to get the timing belt and water pump replace. Had to replace right rear wheel bearing. The power steering pressure holes was leaking and had to get that done. The front suspension was totally worn out and i had to also replace that. The muffler is rusted out so I also replace it with a Brola exhaust. Once I got done with all of that. The truck have been great. The engine and transmission never gave me issue super reliable and I drive it across the states to travel for fun and not once it gave me problem. My dad went and got a 2019 tundra and that thing with the 5.7 is strong compare to the 4.7... But the 2006 tundra have been great once I got everything fix.

It depends where you live man. The roads, hills, amount of stop lights/signs, speed limits, how YOU drive has a lot to do with MPG. I live in Oklahoma so I get 17 freeway and around 12-14 around town.

I have an ecoboost and it doesn’t get much better mileage. Averaging about 15 in my driving.
@mackman1480
@mackman1480 5 жыл бұрын
Curious is that 15 mpg with heavy foot driving or just normal commute cruising. Also is that the small ecoboost or 3.5 litre. From guys I know that have them they say awesome power. I have a 2015 Tundra SR5 + double cab with the TRD Off Road package so far with 85000 kilometers and just oil changes in the Canadian prairies. I think unless you beat the crap out of a vehicle today should expect at least 100 000 miles without to many issues. Tundra mileage is nothing to write home about but like the guy said it almost weighs 6000 pounds.
@Kevin-lm9ex
@Kevin-lm9ex 5 жыл бұрын
It’s a lot of traffic. Not too heavy footed. But that’s about what it gets. It’s powerful when In the turbos. Kind of reminds me of a gas diesel. It’s either a dog out of the boost or a beast in it. I don’t know it’s ok but I ll be getting a TRD Pro as soon as lemon law is settled
@Kevin-lm9ex
@Kevin-lm9ex 5 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah got lemon lawed because it was sold to me with a broken piston skirt and bad Ecu took 3 months to straighten out and Ford was awful to work with no problem so I hired attorney and let them fight it out. Had a 2008 tundra for 170000k miles only real problem I had was with 4wd diff on front o replaced under warranty in two days. Back to Toyota for me

@@Kevin-lm9ex That sucks but its how the dealer and manufacturer treat you when something goes wrong that usually determines where your dollars go next time you purchase a vehicle.

My coworker has a 2017 EcoBoost on his drive to California and back to Seattle he gets an average of 18 miles per gallon. Lol That's nearly the same as me he calculate manually as well. I get 15 in City mix driving and I get 17 to 18 and a half both on the computer and manually calculating it at the gas station.
