If its a tie, they look which One scored higher in excecution, and the one with the highest excecution score wins. you have D (difficulty) score and E (excecution) score. Sorry if my english was not that great :)

Why are all these 17-20 E score lower than the 13-16 one?? Simone's EF floor routine was really beautiful and no less than before but still get a low E score

More deductions and also the composition requirements maximum score got 2.0 from 2.5,so automatically 0.5 lower for everyone

In the 2013-16 Code, it had a D-score of 6.3. In the current Code, it has a D-score of 5.8. The Cheng (round-off, half-on, 1.5 twists off) was also similarly de-valued: 2009-12: 6.5 2013-16: 6.4 2017-20: 6.0

She and Sunisa tied during floor qualifications and Sunisa won on the E-score tiebreak. Due to the 2 per country rule Jade didn't make the finals.

While Jade has a much higher D score, Sunisa has a much better E score which tipped the scales in Sunisas favor! Jade gave away to many tenths on those landings.

Gymnastics is a total mess! How the hell can you win an AA title at the World Championships when you step (bounce) out-of-bounds on Floor? Corrupt and flawed!

Morningglory. I'll explain it using small words so you can get it. I understand you aren't smart at all. She is doing much harder skills. So she gets higher points for doing them. Penalties are the same. I'll make it even simpler. One person is performing a standing front flip. The other is doing a cartwheel. The flip gets ten points for doing it. The cartwheel only gets four points for doing it ( because it's so easy to do that every first grader across the world can do). The flipper performs it but steps out if bounds, so they take away a point for that, leaving them with nine points. The cartwheeler does theirs perfectly and gets the whole four points. Still loses though because 9 is bigger than 4. It is obvious from your other comments here that you are a Simone hater. It's sad how upset you're getting over a young woman that has worked her as$ off to accomplish what she has.

Here are the total D-scores (combined on all four events) for the medalists: Biles (gold): 6.0 vault, 6.2 bars, 6.2 beam, 6.6 floor = 25.0 Tang (silver): 5.4 vault, 6.0 bars, 6.1 beam, 5.0 floor = 22.5 Melnikova (bronze): 5.4 vault, 5.9 bars, 5.8 beam, 5.4 floor = 22.5
