I kind of wish you went into the climate menu more. Can you use windshield defrost and lower/feet climate control at the same time? Can you use upper/face and lower/feet climate control at the same time? Also, does any Apple Carplay information such as spotify audio or google map/waze directions show up on the righthand side gauge cluster screen? (like when you cycle through audio, navigation, and phone)

Thanks for the question. In the climate control window you can push multiple air direction buttons sequentially. So you can turn on the defrost and floor vents just by pushing both buttons etc. So yes you do have all of those options you mentioned. The answer to the second question is yes, the information (turn by turn directions, any audio source that is currently available etc) will show up in the right hand screen. For instance if apple CarPlay is active, it will show up in the right screen as an audio option, but if it’s not active, it won’t. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

On the guess cluster. Does changing the settings get reset when the vehicle is turned off and back on. For example. if I turn off the auto engine off(at stop lights or whatever) will that be turned back on when the car is turned on the next time? And/or same question with all or the majority of the other settings.

Thanks for the question. The auto start/stop feature will reset every time you turn the car off then on again. But your safety features settings will be remembered. Not sure if when you set up a drivers profile, if that would remember the auto show start/stop feature settings or not. So I would say the majority of settings remain until you go in and change them, except auto start/stop. Hope that helps and thanks watching!

for a 2019 ford ranger XLT - can you have navigation/get directions through something like google maps without having your phone plugged into a USB cord? So far the only way I have found to get navigation on the 8"display screen is to have my phone plugged in to the USB and using the Apple CarPlay link

The short answer is no, the long answer is there are aftermarket devices you can use which will allow you to make your current system able to function wirelessly with Apple CarPlay. Hi Just bought a new 2021 Ranger Lariat with 2300 miles on it still new----my question is how do I download all my songs on my USB flash drive onto my Ranger? I notice you didn't cover the link "source" on the main screen which gives me access to the USB icon---I can click on that icon and it will allow me to play all my songs on my flash drive----but I would like to download all those songs and not use the flash drive---how do I accomplish that????? I am so impressed with all the info you have given on how to use all the links on the home screen and on the steering wheel ---thanks for all your help

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately sync 3 does not have a built in HD for ripping or downing loading music to, like early versions did. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

I’m assuming you mean wireless Apple CarPlay or wireless android auto. In this trim level it is a wired connection. In top trim it is wireless. Thanks for watching!
